This location is ALWAYS short staffed. You come in anytime and you are expected to wait.
I came in couple times and no matter how long the line is, there is only one banker.

Bad customer experience. Yu Mimi K.a manager there is not willing to listen and help. And she hid about the fact that the cash back bonus was paid in a debit card. Which is fine but it's not the same as cash and she should have been honest about it.

1 teller working. 2nd in line. 20 minute wait. Be prepared mentally or be disappointed and plan your time for visit accordingly.

Paid card bill in-person. Nothing special. I’d rather pay on-line instead if visiting the branch.

Would give a negative if I could. Me and my partner were trying to open a Citibank joint checking account at this location.

We first visited on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 28th, and the banker, Lantian Chen, handled our case. She seemed helpful at first but it turned out she wasn't the best at her job. We told her that we are international students, and she requested one document after another, which we all provided. And after an hour of effort, she suddenly told us, "sorry your visa expired and we are not able to open a checking account for you". She could have told us all the requirement upfront, and would have saved us a lot of trouble. I don't know whether it's coming from her not being competent for her job, or that she had an issue with us, but it was definitely not a pleasant experience. Anyways, she suggested that I contacted the manager later to double check.

A day later, I called the manager, Fuvimon Jirachaikitti, to inquire about the issue, which made things worse. The manger seemed to be expecting our calls already, because when we explained that we are international students with expired visa and wanted to open an account, she suddenly bursted into laughs, as if we were some kind of jokes. I couldn't remember the rest of the call, but only recall me trying to confirm what she was laughing about and hung up the phone in total shock and humiliation.

I just don't get it. We are just two customers trying to open a bank account, and what part of our situation deserved such a sarcastic laugh? Never once in my life in the States had I gone through such embarrassment. Did I do something wrong? I tried so hard to understand where the laugh came from thinking in her shoes. Is it because two gay international students just should not get a joint banking account? Or that we called another time to double check seems so desperate and laughable to her? I ran through so many thinkings but I don't think any of these would appear funny to others.

PS. Before we called Fuvimon Jirachaikitti, we had called other branches and they said they could open an account for us since we have a valid California driver's license and social security cards. When we told Ms. Jirachaikitti about this, she said "Then why don't you just go to other branches? Why are you still calling me? " in a very sarcastic way. I don't think anyone deserves to be treated this way.
