City of Lake Tahoe Campground reviews
10Beautiful Campground only 300ft from the beach front lake. There is bike rental across the street. Safeway is close. Convent store is very close. Right before the beach there is like 3-4 restaurants to chose from. I tried the pizza place and it was really good! Way better than your common everyday papa Johns / dominoes etc.the staff is very pleasant and easy to work with. Right now they’re working on the electric loop but once that’s done this place in my opinion would be the best place to stay. Trust me I looked and stayed at two other spots here in Lake Tahoe. Choose this one over all of them! And it’s the best priced out of all of them!
Clean, nicely maintained. Price is amazing. Staff is kind! Beach is a 5 minute walk. 4 restaurants right across the street. Safeway is just a 1/2mile walk away. I will stay here again for sure!
Great location, staff was very generous. Clean. Road noise goes away at night. Showers were clean. Will come back.
Great campground, great location. Showers were superb. Lake is walking distance and bike trails are adjacent. Sadly and fortunately no bears were spotted at the campground.
This place is great it’s right across from the water and lots of fun things to do walking distance and there is a ice rink in the park the only thing that would make it perfect if the added full hook up they have water and electricity but you have to dump at the dump station but other than that this place was great
They only have an online form or a text message phone number for customer service. I texted the number thinking I'd get a faster response, but haven't received any. Although the reservation website asks if you are military or have an access pass (which gives a substantial discount for park campgrounds), they don't apply the discount to your check out price. Thanks, but no thanks.
Had the worst experience. Never ever gonna come back here again. Sorry to say but the old folks run this place. We tried to check out but a little behind and they tried to lock our RV and not Allow us to take our Rv out doesn’t make sense. The treatment wasn’t professional at all. Never recommend or ever gonna come back to this place. There’s other better camp grounds to
Go to. Tried this place one time and never gonna come back. Only my wife and I stayed here and the old staff is not really friendly.
They need to fire them and rehire professional or trained attendance if they want to get returning customers. Good luck if you book this place.
Loudest campground I've ever been to. Highway noise, loud music, and GENERATORS galore.
Normally I would give this a much better rating, but this year I haven't arrived yet and was informed that my camp site has been changed. Family and close friends make our reservations a year in advance expecting to be in a close proximity to each other.
Some of us travel thousands of miles to attend this each year. But do to someone's decision to change everyone's camp spots we will now be packed into a closer proximity to strangers we do not know and leaving the camp sites we had reserved vacant.
Oh, and we weren't informed by the camp ground of the changes but by one of our family members who called us while we were on the road and almost there.
We will see how it goes but not a happy camper at this time.
My reservation says it’s confirmed, but will tent camping be allowed? No one has called to inform me I can’t use a tent and I can’t reach anyone over the phone/email.
I need to know before I drive 4 hours to come camp!
