City Park reviews
6Homeless sleeping. Playground in disrepair. Very dangerous. City should be ashamed of the lack of repairs. No a safe place for children. The first thing my 4yr old did was pick up a piece of glass.
It was a hot day, and we were looking for a shady place to eat our fast food. It was shady, in every sense of the word. While we sat at a picnic table, one of the gentlemen who were there walked to the locked restroom and urinated on the door. The other gentleman continued to sleep off his buzz. On a positive note, we didn't see any vomit or used needles, and the grass was green.
There is a event in the park called the “day of child”. I’m a volunteer work there. There are a lot of vendors and services providers. Lots of people comes and has fun. The parking lot is full, so many cars parked in red-painted area. There are a lot of squirrels under the trees.
Their grass is nice and spacious and they have a variety of courts, however, it becomes overcrowded during practices and people block the parking lot and entrances. There’s another empty parking lot that is blocked by the vandalized, unsafe restrooms, and a grassy hill. I’m sure people don’t park there for a reason. Speaking of grass, there’s a lot of that going on here as well, unless they have a serious skunk problem. Which is actually considerable due to the number of squirrels in the warm seasons. Not judging people for what they enjoy but this is a park filled with kids practicing sports.
They get smoked out on crack here, while one Latino is telling us "hallelujah! " Not sure about all that. They are giving out lots of free clothes, food, soap and etc. Some of the things are new.
