One of the worst hospital, clinic whatever is that i ever saw, literally every hospital or animal clinic when you do the vaccines they do it in front of you, those people took my cat they said they will do the xray for my cat or examination for him and i waited like 20 minutes and they came and told me here you are your cat got vaccinated, like are you seriously did the vaccinations without seeing my cat? It’s 100% when they took my cat in the back they did something to him or idk wth they put on him, but if i see my cat in the upcoming days something happens to him im gonna sue them, i wish i never went to that place

On January 24,2024, we had to take our dog in to be put down. Our beloved dog had a tumor that wasn't treatable and unfortunately, it was her time. When we brought her in, we went in the back room and put our dog on a table. The women working there told us we had to leave the room and I told her not to move our dog because she is in pain on one side of her body. The women again told us to leave the room and I heard my dog let out a large scream and she was crying and I went in the room and the women moved our dog. Then she proceed to put in an IV and by that time I think my dog went into shock. The whole experience was a horrific nightmare. I wanted my dogs last day to be pain free, but instead it turned out to be an event that I will not be able to get out of my mind. The women was so insensitive with our dog and very rude to us. This place should not be in the animal business at all. They charge $500 to put our dog down in a very unpeaceful fashion. Our dog was our child for 13 years and it came to this at the end and I will never forgive myself for bringing her there. PLEASE, under NO Circumstances, do NOT bring your animals here! They will not die in peace and you might not even be able to hold them or be in the same room. This place is ridiculous. They do not deserve one star, but there was no other choice here when rating them.

It has taken me almost a year to write this but I finally have the courage and emotional strength to do so.

On May 19th 2023, my wife was rushing around trying to get our dog care as he was having labored breathing and a weird wheezing like cough. At the time, she was closest to City Pet Hospital. My wife took our dog in and asked to be seen as it was urgent (you could visibly see our dog suffering) and she was turned away and was recommended a place in San Mateo to take him.

My wife had to drive 30-40 minutes in stop and go traffic in the afternoon with our dog suffering on her lap. I got there before her from work and started the paperwork because she was still stuck in traffic! By the time she had gotten to her exit he stopped breathing. She pulled over immediately and started running with kiwi in her arms, but it was too late.

Our dog DIED because City Pet Hospital refused to see him and then recommended a hospital so far away.

I believe that if they had even taken the slightest moment to recognize his visible suffering and acted with urgency, Kiwi would still be alive. & I say this because we were told by the place we took him said had he got care sooner there would've been a small chance he could've been helped. Small I know, but still a chance.

I'm still not over it and neither is my wife. My poor wife is TRAUMATIZED by this experience so much so she got rid of the car that she was driving him in that day.

And don't get me wrong, I've worked at a pet hospital, I know that sometimes care isn't always available at that moment. But I do know how triage works. I'm appalled that labored breathing and wheezing cough and visible suffering was not of urgent care in their eyes.

I do not recommend this place at all. Simple as that.

I used to go to this hospital for my 2 pets for about a year but got sick of their rude customer service. The front desk is usually some rude lady and there is no face to face with the Dr.so I can’t even speak with the vet. On top of that every time I ask them to send records to my insurance they never do it.

I would give them a 0 if I could. I had an appointment for a nail trim for my small dog.the receptionist was rude then stated our pricing is 35.00 for a nail trim, 25.00 for the tech. And 15 for service fee. For a small do nail trim! No thank you, I will find a more respectful place we with a reasonalbe price. She went on to state we are not a groomer. I awaited thisappt all week.

We took our dog Kumo to City Pet Hospital due to an emergency with his small intestine. Kumo was lethargic, vomiting, and we had no idea what was wrong but Dr. Sohi then confirmed that Kumo had a bowel obstruction then assured us that it would be a high success rate and urged that we do the surgery immediately. Christina also was very helpful when it came to Kumo’s insurance and was kind and caring when it came to monitoring and taking care of Kumo. We had the board certified surgeon proceed with Kumo’s surgery and kumo has been much better since then. Everyone at City Pet has treated Kumo very well and we’re very happy with how things have turned out.

This visit with Dr Chan was great! I've had previous concerns but she turned it around. I will gladly move this to a 10 if service continues at this new rate. Shout out to Haley also. She's kind and gentle!

Knowledgeable and professional staff, very friendly and helpful. Felt my pet was in good hands

We took our cat here on a Saturday when she was having a concerning loss of appetite and nausea, and our regular vet was closed. They were able to see her on a drop-off basis. They communicated with us at each step of the way, and were very thorough, running tests etc. Thankfully all she needed was some subcutaneous treatments and anti-nausea medication. The *only * reason I'm not giving 5 starts is because somehow, she didn't get her anti-nausea shot before being discharged, they fortunately caught their oversight, called us, and we had to take her back to get the shot. Still, they made sure she got her treatment, and at the end of the day, they helped my girl feel better, so I'm grateful.

The entire staff are very professional, compassionate, caring and friendly. I could not ask for anything more. 10/10 would recommend!

I needed a same day appointment. And they were able to take me as a drop in. They were able to take care of my dog and she is feeling much better now.

Best Vet experience! Everyone was so nice and helpful during our first visit. Baby (the cat) was nervous but not scared. Scheduled her next appointment as I left which was very helpful due to my schedule. Thank you City Pets Staff!

Took my puppy here a few days ago as a walk-in/emergency.it was his first time at an actual vet & i was just overall so nervous because he wasnt acting himself at all & became so lethargic.barely wanted to move or go outside.took him to get examined, etc.and they ruled out it was probably due to back pains/a muscle strain due to him jumping off of high places constantly (hes a small dog). Gave us pain meds and instructions for strict rest.i was worried that wasnt the case but after the past 2 days hes gotten back to his regular self! (we obviously still restrict long exercise/movement per instructions). Im just super super glad.hes my first ever dog and i was so upset & anxious the past week.im so glad my puppy is back to his usual, enthusiastic attitude & feeling better! Thank you so much for taking us in on such short notice and to doctor chan! Would love to become a regular here & get joon his annual exams.thank you!

I HIGHLY recommend this place! I had an emergency with my dog and after calling over 25 places, citi pet was able to fit me in on a Saturday on short notice.

The vet was straight forward, honest and incredibly through. I seriously cannot thank them enough!

My dog was not feeling good and they were able to see her twice for last minute appointments. They were also able to figure out the issue and the vet tech Amanda and vet Dr. Chan called me themselves to explain what is going on. The receptionist Hailey was very helpful and nice as well! Definitely going to be switching my dog to this clinic instead. 10/10 would recommend!

The vets & vet techs are all very kind, friendly, knowledgable, flexible & professional.

We were lucky that there weren't many pets when we went so the wait wasn't too long. Our appointment was at 1: 30 and we left at 1: 47, so the wait was probably less than half an hour to be seen. My dog is very anxious and scared but the vets were very nice and dealt with him well. They even made his little boot fun with a logo!
