We love Dr Oliver and crew at Claremont Vet. Dr Oliver is a gentle, sweet and kind vet. We've seen many vets over the years. Dr. Oliver has been hands down our favorite for over 10 years now!
Hansel, Gretel, Ambi, Socks, Tiger and Nix agree 100%

The staff is always willing to hear your concerns and help however they can (as busy as they are), and their office is so spacious and clean. I had a positive experience during my dog's end-of-life. The staff was very respectful and kind, and I sincerely felt they cared.

The staff was wonderful. Met me outside, took my fur babies in, doctor came outside to give me their health report. So well run! Efficient and safe. Highly recommend the Vet hospital!

We have received great customer care and service. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Our dogs surgery was very stressful for us, but was made easier for us by all the staffs support and care.

Dr Weigand is absolutely AMAZING! I am so glad that a close family friend sent us here after hearing how our very had treated us.

We will be transferring the care of all small animals here.

I had the displeasure of taking my dog to the Claremont Veterinary Hospital recently. It was clear that she, my dog, was unwelcome at their hospital because she is a "dangerous breed". Some background on my dog is that she is an 11 year old Staffordshire terrier. Both the Veterinarian, Dr. Oliver, and the Vet Tech seemed completely uninterested in my needs and the fact that my dog was injured during her time "in the back". They did not inquire into how my elderly and anxious dog might react to certain "precautions" (restraints) that they put in place and simply deemed "she just didn't like it". Well, she gouged the side of her face trying to take off the muzzle they put on her face. I understand precautions but if you are unable to control a larger dog then that needs to be known and the exam should take place in the vicinity of the owner. We, my dog and I, have been to 5 different vets while we have moved up and down the West Coast and we have NEVER had the horrific interaction that we had at this Vet hospital. They are unprofessional and clearly cannot handle "dangerous" breeds without them injuring themselves. I HIGHLY recommend if you have a "dangerous" dog breed you go somewhere else because it seems that they are incapable of providing even basic care to their patients. We brought our 12 week old kitten here and had no issue, so again they really cannot be trusted with anything that is listed as dangerous. Will never come back to this clinic and will tell everyone I can they are NOT to be trusted. If I could leave a zero I would.

I don't like to write many reviews, but I was so pleased with Dr. Oliver that I feel compelled to write this one. My cat, Emma, went to her for 4 years (from the time we moved to this area until Emma passed on). Emma got kidney disease, which ultimately killed her. Dr. Oliver kindly walked us through everything while the disease slowly attacked Emma. She was knowledgeable and straight forward about treatments, chances of success, and what would happen depending on the choices we made. After two years of fighting the disease, we had to put her down. Throughout everything, Dr. Oliver showed love and compassion for both Emma and me and my wife. She always took time to go over the many concerns we constantly had. The difficult day we decided we should put her down, Dr. Oliver found time for us in the schedule and made the experience the least bad she could.

In short, Dr. Oliver is a fantastic veterinarian who is knowledgeable, good-hearted, direct, and personable. When we're ready, we will adopt new cats and we will definitely take them to Dr. Oliver.

I really like this place. They all, from the time you walk in the door, are so attentive and positive to our cats, as well as to us the human caregivers. I'm sure both my cats feel this way too, because they are always excited when they see their bag/carrier knowing they get to go for a ride in the car, even as the only place they go to is the vet. They love both docs and all the vet techs, plus they really like the cat that greets us at the front desk, a very friendly tabby who lives there will give them a sniff which seems to put them at ease. I figure if 2 cats can be happy with going to the vet, that vet is doing something right!

I have been taking my Annie to Dr. Weigand since she was 11 weeks old. She is now 1 month shy of 14. She has had a difficult life with all sorts of health problems. Dr. Weigand and his staff have been there for her through the good times and bad times, never letting her suffer and making sure she got the best care possible. I can't thank them enough for giving my baby girl the best life possible.
