Clayton's Mexican Take Out reviews
17You are not going to find a better burrito around town. Clayton’s has mastered the California Burrito. And the vibe of the restaurant is equally as enticing.
Truly one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Different burrito preferences for different people, but “The Supreme” is exactly what I was looking for. Great balance of the ingredients, carne asada and shrimp combo was great, fries were a bit crisp outside and soft inside (just how I like it), and green hot sauce on top was the finisher. The monster burritos are HUGE. Well done Clayton’s, I will definitely be coming back.
Overall I was very impressed with Clayton's. Their burritos are huge and the tacos were also substantial. Everything was fresh and delicious. We'll be back!
I have to leave a review just to say that my husband says this was the best burrito of his life, and the best red salsa he’s ever had.
I agree that it’s amazingly delicious. Carnitas street tacos and the surf and turf burrito were mm mmmm.
The best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. It’ll flail in comparison… how happy am I right now? 100%
This place used to be amazing- not anymore. We got the breakfast burrito, the hash browns were soggy and the eggs were way overcooked. Also they forgot to put any veggies in the veggie breakfast burrito.
Paid about $22 for carne asada fries (with adobada) and two soda cans. They owned or are in partnership with the coffee shop nextdoor and had excellent customer service. The food was pretty good! Definitely would come back here. They offer limited outside seating.
The first place we stop when we drive from Texas to San Diego. We bypass the entire city and cross the bridge just to come here before we do anything else in town. That's how good the food is.
Quality food, great portions and prices, and fast service. Would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could, only didn't give it 5 because the sauces were a bit bland.
Best Quick Mexican food on the island. No doubt this spot has not changed in quality once in the past 5 years I have been going here.
The food is not bad but the last three times I've gone there they have either given me the wrong order or added something to my order I didn't ask for like eggs in my California Burrito. Check your orders before leaving! I'm over it! Won't be going back.
Lots of yummy food for a reasonable price. We had the ham and egg breakfast burrito, nachos, carne asada street tacos, California burrito, and the chicken protein bowl. We loved them all.
Came to this spot while walking at night with the family. We ordered 3 white hot chocolates and some donuts. The service was super friendly and the quality of hot cocoa was great also.
Your food is terrible. It use to be great. The tacos were cremated. Burnt meat, tortilla so overcooked you could not eat it. Then got the wrong burrito. Ordered a Carne asada and was given a California. Burrito was lousy. Don't like fries in a burrito.
Amazing tacos! Had the el pastor, fish, and birria tacos. Great sizes and full of flavor. Will be coming back before I leave.
Really good food. I recommend pretty much everything there. Just slow due to lines, plan ahead
Let me just say this is a great choice!
Pros: I got the chicken taco salad, the taco shell was so delicious! I want to just go order one all alone. The chicken portion was fabulous!
Con: the chicken wasn’t seasoned very well. Adding the salsa kind of helped. But it was too spicy of salsa for me.
My husband ordered a burrito and loved it. He did note that it was a bit to overpowering in the flavor of the meat. But overall would definitely go back!
Prices have updated so I am including a picture of the menu from Clayton’s.
