The Best in the.the bread, steaks, & the huge baked potato with butter and cheese and all the goodies the best. There prices have gone up$$$. So now i can only go on special occasions.

Ordered the ribeye, was very tender but lacked flavor, needed steak sauce, the salad was delicious and the baked potato was great.

I use to love this place, but my last visit was not very impressive. The food just didn't have any flavor.nothing like it use to be. My filet lacked flavor, the baked potato had a moldy taste, cheese bread was extra soggy.tbh the only good thing was the salad.

"Covina Girl Review" Rates this a 10! Based on Service, Food, Fun Atmosphere and the nostalgic root beer after dinner. I ordered what isn't on the menu, bake potatoe w/the famous whipped cheese, cabbage salad, blue cheese salad and of course the famous cheese bread. Oh I added just a cup of there barely vegetable soup! Perfect! I also had lunch for the next day. On other occasions, I have eaten there Lobster, Steak and shrimp. All SPECTACULAR, just closing my eyes makes me taste the food all over again!

It's been years and I had forgotten how expensive it was! Also, a number of our large party were disappointed that the peanuts were not salted - very bland. A small thing, I know, but we look forward to nibbling the peanuts while waiting and they were not good. Salted peanuts, please! Cheese bread and salads were still delish and worth the trip. I bought extra spread and dressing at the bar to transport home to Indiana in my suitcase! Yum.

Everytime we go to that area we stop and get both kinds of there salad with the bread and spread! There is nothing like it

Set up reservations with a large group. Finally got seated 40 minutes after our scheduled time. After looking at the menu for quite a while. The waiter came just to take drink orders. That took some time to arrive. Now finally we were able to place our orders. The place still has the rustic outdoor ambience. Crack you peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. The place is very dimly lit. At times it's hardtop see the menu & check. Not to mention the food on your plate. We had a steak (medium), potato & rice arrive cold. By throwing it back on the grill. It was now well and dry. Another serving was brought that no one ordered. The server tried to insist you did order this. The person said I did not because I can not eat scallops, go figure. It was a tough task to get the attention of the manager. Since he was so fixated on his tablet. He was not aware of his surroundings. Maybe things such as service, lack there of. Bland taste on the majority of servings we received. Because we went on the weekend. It surely did not have the appeal or goodness as once before. As you know prices are up and quality is down.

Always an amazing time! Service was on top of their game! The food is ALWAYS delicious. The cheese bread and salad combo is a reason in itself to come to this place!

This legendary place has hosted five generations of my family over the decades and has somehow remained consistently excellent over all those years.

Since COVID the plentiful peanuts come by request only. Loved the cheesy bread and salads. I had the best grilled scallops ever and my husband enjoyed the steak. We usually share a meal because it is so big.

Can't go wrong with any meal here. It is on the high cost though but you get 2 salads. One is a green (only) salad with a creamy dressing & a red cabbage salad both are all you can eat. Also you get ayce garlic bread (it is very, very delicious.) And the biggest potato with cheese butter and mushroom gravy. The service has always been great.

The filet is sublime, the Prime Rib Dip super yummy, the Fresh ground hamburger delectable. Then there is the cheese toast, a must have! Shed a tear to mgr when we didn't get ours in our to go order and got great customer service in response. Visited again and interacted with another awesome employee who took the time to call me when I left without my toast! Love the food, the atmosphere and the staff.glad to be a local!

We hadn't been there in awhile, but Eric took excellent care of us! My grandson loved the purple and orange lights that decorated the restaurant. The food was delicious! The Long Islands were great! Looking forward to next time!

I have lived in Covina for 40 years and always enjoyed going to Northwoods Inn because of the quality and taste of the food. However, after an absence of more than a few years I accompanied my friend there a few weeks ago.

I ordered the prime rib steak sandwich. The sandwich cost was almost $16.00. Although I thought that was a steep price for such a sandwich in any locale, the sandwich I was served there was like mush with onions that seemed over cooked and old. The purpose cole slaw that used to be fresh and excellent was old and limp. The quality of this place has gone way down and I probably won’t be going back.

They need to get Gordon Ramsey in there to give them the desire to deal better and to improve their food.

Just ok today, the sides are old standbys and great. Today we split an Angus Ribeye and I would not recommend this option. The service was great and our waiter was very friendly.

Love this restaurant. The food here is always good, the portion sizes are nice, and the foods not too too expensive. We always have nice servers and usually our waits not too long. Their green salad is one of my favorites
