Clovis Area Recreation Center

When I first put my daughter in basketball a year ago it was a really great place. They decided to grow and accept WAY more people/teams, charge more, and cut their practice time in half this time.so now it's not really worth it. They double and triple book games so that there is LITERALLY no parking.people are driving into fields to park which is a fire hazzard here. On top of all that, they dont separate kid and adult practice times. For example they had adult mens volleyball practicing RIGHT next to kids tennis camp. A little girl got hit in the face with a spiked ball and no one said ANYTHING.not sorry.not pause your game until the kids are done. NOTHING I'm telling you if that was my daughter they would be sued!

This is a GEM of a place for family and kids activities. Owned and run by the City of Clovis. I have to say this was a VERY WISE city investment of taxpayer dollars! The manager is a very nice man. Stop in and ask him about the programs offered!

First time in Cali. It's a true treat. Not sure what to say or think. I'm here for work and have had only a few chances to get out and see the site's or do anything. This is a beautiful place, I strongly recommend it to anyone, just make sure you have time to enjoy the small things in life. We only live once

Was there briefly to watch my neice play little league basketball. Didn't explore too much but it's roomy and plenty of parking.

Ok place to bring your kids but mostly for basketball most kids are super competitive many of the staff don't pay much attention to your needs

Very helpfull and informative. Looking for a good place to hold roller derby practice. Hopefully we can make it happen and bring people to the events

Accessibility: There is paved parking along the front and sides of the building, depending on the events being held however, one will definitely need to park in the dirt depending on arrival time. If it has rained, it will definitely be muddy. There are handicapped accessibility ramps located at the main entrance.

Experience: I came here for my godson's basketball games multiple times. Overall I had a very good experience with the establishment.because of the amount of games being played at one time however it did get very crowded during the games and a bit hectic during transitioning, but nothing too serious.

Highlights: Able to accommodate multiple games at one time, onsite bathrooms, private rooms available, security on premises, ability to house areas for different games (indoor soccer, basketball, tennis, badminton, etc.)

There is a lot of room for improvement to the facilities, but as far as classes and cost they are pretty darn good. My son did a tumbling class there and he had a blast. Hopefully they get a pool one day.

Seating is limited. For the amount we pay, its disappointing that the Coach doesnt take certain players if they don't follow his directions/ball hog.

The Clovis recreation is a very awesome place for Classes, yes it can use some facility improvements but every facility of its kind could. That being said I definitly suggest you sign your kids up for a class this season!

Only place my husband found locally for roller hockey (Tuesday nights). Nice players, nice staff.
