Club San Diego reviews
7Safe to say I won’t go here again. They should change their name. It’s in no way a club. The people there are creepy, nobody asks to touch you, they just do. I paid $50 to get in and stayed maybe an hour. People walking into my room and everything. This is not a safe place to go to alone…
The Club San Diego room is awesome! The place does get hot (temperature wise, though I've seen it get pretty steamy in the other sense too). Dim lit, fun decorations, average priced drinks (cash only). Good date spot, large-ish dance floor but also booths. Music is good depending on the night/DJ but overall its a neat place.
Great place to hang out after the gym and relax with younger Latin guys
The staff are friendly and the place is nice and clean. However, the clientele was very average and most of them were really stuck up and uptight to participate in any action. There was nothing much going on despite the fact that it was a Friday night. It was a huge bummer. I do think $20 for lockers on top of membership is a bit pricey. A lower fee for locals would make more sense. The steam room is way too hot and is not conducive for any action. Seriously, it's like planet Venus in the steam room. If you are expecting an active scene filled with action, you might want to pass.
On the first two days after the reopening
The first innovation concerns the valuables. These are no longer given in a safebox at the cash register - each locker is at the same time a valuables box with an individual electronic key, or in the rooms there are valuables boxes (similar to a hotel).
There is no cinema anymore - the room is now a maze with curtains for partitioning. Here is the hint for a sign:
Please do not splash sperm on the walls or curtains - as I have seen.
Two big screens now serve as a cinema. One on the wall to the dry sauna and one in the upper area. However, the projectors are not precisely aligned, so part of the image was out of the screen. (no attention by the staff)
All the walls of the corridors have been repainted (I have not entered any rooms, but I suspect, the walls are also repainted) - the pool was not open (was not mentioned at the entrance)
- there is still the problem in the showers in the area of the steam sauna with the Hot water,
- there is still the problem that sometimes no steam comes into the steam sauna. No improvement no attention by the crew.
Dry sauna noticed no changes.
Both stairs are still in the shell - because the carpet was removed and not renewed.
In the second level, middle area is still being built. Here you could partially see into the underlying rooms. Lets see how it will evolve.
The sauna is now completely non-smoking. Sometimes you could smell smoke in the upper corridors - because now is probably smoking in the room. (missing attention of the crew)
The staff showed up in uniform polo shirts and was very hard-working.
It is possible that there are other improvements that I have not seen - or flaws that have not been resolved.
Very pricey, and dirty, steamroom and dry sauna smell like urine and pibe sol, jacuzzi water is cloudy and room smells musty, over place needs good cleaning and better air flow place doesn't look to inviting everything is overpriced and is always full of bottoms or couples, they say busiest times are Friday, Saturday nights after bars close but are false, been there twice ar those times, never busy only older, guys, or travelers looking for a cheao place to sleep.the sorry thing about it is that they're the only one in the county and know it so thats, why they charge so much abs don't clean, as they should,
