Great views, good food, on expensive side.

Ordered a Salad, Rainbow Trout a la Plancha and Mary's roasted chicken for Entree, both were great dishes

Great food and variety with incredible and unmatched bay views. Sunset or nighttime dining is recommended for the better view.

I highly recommend Coasterra. The management and staff are so friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and the ambiance is amazing. They have a beautiful view of the harbor and plenty of outdoor seating. It's elegant without being pretentious. They seem very family friendly as well.

I had a reservation at Coasterra yesterday for their Thanksgiving buffet and it was an awesome experience! There was a great selection of food, they all tested so great and the service was excellent by the staff.

Coasterra is one of my favorite restaurants in SD. Efficient, amazing views, crafty drinks and really good food. Please enjoy the coconut margaritas and sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.

The view was amazing. The food was just as good. The coconut margarita was soooo good. Our waitress, Jackie, was great. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.

Literally the only thing good here is the view. The food is NOT worth the money at all.

But the view by itself, definitely 5 stars.

Guacamole is definitely out of a prepackaged can topped with tomatoes. Ceviche was terrible. My “Medium” steak was so over cooked.

Come for a drink and views, but don’t eat.

I came here with a party of 6 and ordered the delicious Pork Belly Carnitas and had 2 excellent Coconut Margaritas to accompany the meal. Everything was incredibly delicious and I can't wait to come back here. Great service as well

Our server, Malita, couldn't have been better; very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and the views breathtaking with a steady stream of seagoing sailing yachts. Definitely recommend the ceviche trio - could easily be a lunch for two. The Margheritas were delicious, too.

I’ve been to Coasterra once, it was a good experience but this time around our hostess Kailee made a difference! She immediately attended our needs and questions. She introduced us to her manager Billy (GREAT GUY) and was super friendly. Great environment and staff. Coming back for more margs and bringing friends!

It's never a disappointing experience dining at this Restaurant, or their other locations. Delicious food (LOVE My Ceasar Salad) ; Looking forward to returning

The wait after being seated was a bit long to take our drink orders & appetizers, but other than that the food was amazing & so was the view

Great atmosphere right on the bay with a view of downtown. Complimentary chips and salsa were extremely good. The calamari was a bit disappointing. Half legs (too many), half rings with some peppers. Only one side of aoli. It was a large basket, just not all that special. The carne asada fajitas were really good. Comes as sliced steak which was good quality. Light on the fillers like rice and beans. No complaints. I also had a coconut margarita which was good as well. The entrees were pricey which factors into the lower rating along with the mediocre calamari. Still the ambiance makes up for a couple shortcomings.

Outdoor seating was beautiful and alot of airflow through this part of the restaurant. All the waiters/waitresses were masked and pleasant:) Food was excellent and if it got too cold outside, there were outdoor heaters.

Very good. Didn't have a bad dish. Waitstaff exceptional. First time I ever heard say 'Good lord', over food. He's in love with the pork belly!

This place used to be a must go for me and my friends but as of late, something seems a little off. Pre pandemic the staff and the food were amazing. Now, the staff didn't seem as friendly or as inviting as they did before and the food is still good but not amazing as when I went the first time. The pineapple butter cake was to die for and all the food was cooked amazingly on point. I used to consider coastera a must go and a gem in san diego but now I feel they are simply an establishment with not really much to offer. It's a great place to go if you want a great view but now when I visit San Diego, there are other places I would recommend over coastera. Still a great place to try if you have money to spend, want a nice view, and its you're first time. Be sure to make a reservation on the patio weeks/months ahead for a great seat.

Awesome views, awesome cocktails, not so awesome food. Ordered tortilla soup for appetizer, waitress said chicken was extra $2-3 so I passed; basically got a broth with a few tortilla strips and a couple chunks of tomato.so disappointing. Can't even remember what my main course was, but I recall not being impressed. Plus this place is $$$.

Food was delicious had the calamari for an appetizer carnita quesadilla and chile relleno burger and husband and I enjoyed it very much. Will come again as we do every year for our anniversary

We had a great evening @ coasterra. We had a surprise for our friend and all the staff was very kind, but in particular Kailee went the extra mile for us to make sure all would go well, thanks for your amazing help!

I've enjoyed many CRG restaurants over the years. Coasterra is awful, other than its fabulous views (service was fine, too). My trout was hidden under a 6 inch mound of carrots and kale; tortilla soup was "odd" and chicken was dry. We spent $200 for a meal that was less than mediocre.
