Cobbler's Bench Shoe & Luggage reviews
19Love the place that will fix things on the spot! Yes they charged extra but totally worth it.
I came in with a beat up pair of shoes in desperate need of resoling and a shine. These folks gave me a week ETA, charged a little more than I expected walking in (but still well worth it in the long run for good work that will last me a good few years!), and took a little longer than their original estimate. On the day I was meant to pick them up, they called and said it would take probably 3 more days. I waited about a week then called them and were told they had just been finished that morning.
All in all, I will be going back to them again for any shoe repair (especially as they are one of the few places around that mix their own colors) but keep in mind they won't always be perfectly on top of their timelines - they seem to be decent at communication in those circumstances though!
Very responsive guy, I took my bag which was locked by the airport and he was able to quickly unlock in min. He’s going to be my go to person for anything related to shoe/luggage
Overpriced and poor quality. $45 for couple of stitches. Check my photo to see how bad those stitches
If I could give them -10 stars I would. Absolutely unprofessional place. They did disgusting work. I don’t recommend this place
I just don’t even know what to write here. I’m speechless… The worst service ever. They didn’t return our money back: (
I lost the little thingy that guides the start of the zipper on a leather jacket. I took it into Cobblers Bench, they told me they couldn't fix it, it would require a new zipper and the cost would be $180.
Amazon has the parts for about $5. It took me about five minutes to fix it and it now works fine.
Could repair two non US luggage, one Samsonite almost 15 years old… good job, fast and reasonable prices
I had to pay 60$ prior to service to replace 1 wheel on my luggage. I can buy a new luggage for this price. I waited 3 weeks. No phone call for a heads up either. No proper management of expectations. Nothing. I called. Got no fix and a refund. Definitely not a 5 stars service. Crass incompetence. A waste of my time.
Brought my oversized travel bag in to be fixed, went on a trip with the "fixed" bag it rips in the same place. I take it back they say they will fix it again, I come back two weeks later and they havent touched it with a "done" sign on the receipt. They spend two minutes on it and hand it back not even finishing all the items on the ticket. Waste of time and $65.
If I could put 10 stars I would no question. I'm selling my car and the light beige leather seat was scratched through the color. Richard custom matched it so that it looks like new. I have no words for how excited I was and when I showed it to my mechanic, all she could say over and over was OMG while doing the mind blown gesture. If you have leather in need of repair, this place is your saving grace.
I left my shoes here to glue the bottom, payed in advance. My wife went to pick up my shoes and they didn't fix it at all, just gave it back to her like it's done. It's a joke.
What kind of service is this?
Highly recommended! I went to 4-5 different places to fix the lining of my 23 year old Louis Vuitton Nice Vanity bag but no one would touch it! I was referred here by a friend of mine. Richard, who owns the shop did an amazing job! The lining was better than the original and it was leather! Very skilled and detailed in his work. And he’s super nice too!
Fast service, fair prices, and quality repairs. They replaced the heel portion of my shoe treads for $50.
Dropped off a few pairs of shoes on Thursday. They were incredibly accommodating. Seems like a top notch place with a tremendous following.
Great customer focus. Always willing to help for any question on needs about your shoes. After fixing/cleaning one of my pair of shoes, i could not find the right type of replacement laces. They offered to order specifically for me. It took a while but eventually got there, as i needed them!
I’ve been buying my bi-fold wallets here for decades. Also the best cobblers in the Bay Area, as far as I know. True craftspeople and a San Jose gem of a business.
They know what they're doing with shoes - this is where I'd go to get any expensive and luxury shoes repaired. Probably not worth the price to repair shoes under $50.
My shoe repair shop from this day forward! I was able to get same day service, and it took less than 5 minutes. Both of the gentleman were very nice and professional
