Had biometrics done for job today got in and out quickly. Have used services at COD last 40 years. COD is an asset to the Coachella Valley.

Went to the Saturday - Sunday mornings Market. Definitely not what it used to be before the pandemic. Very few vendors, no food or drinks, took only a few minutes to go through the entire market. Maybe it will return to it's original popularity but not much fun yet.

Good outside market with lots of variety. Scaling back due to summer heat. 90 degrees today.

We went the the street fair here at the school. I'm glad it's back open! I will have to come back one day by myself though because my kids were begging to go to the park across the street instead. So it's really not for 5 year olds lol. But i will definitely be back!

Maybe it’s the pandemic but the teachers don’t care. They don’t respond to your emails or pick up their phone calls during “office hours”. No one on the campus will answer your calls even though they’re supposedly working remote. Good luck getting to speak to a counselor who will call you back. Left several messages about getting my scholarship money released to their financial aid office.since I paid for my classes upfront they were supposed to give me all of my scholarship money. Someone got back to me 2 months later and 2 weeks before the semester ended they finally gave me my scholarship money that I was supposed to have had at the beginning of the semester. You’ll spend an extra year or two getting whatever degree you intend to because there’s no counselor to guide you.

Went to Street Fair, but got there a little late. Still managed to find some neat ornaments for the yard!

Leyla from the Admissions department answered all my questions with great attention to detail. I had spoken to other admissions reps with horrible regards to answering my questions, but when I called back the next day, I was lucky to speak to her. She handled my issue effectively and expeditiously!

Great starting off point to lead to your eventual transfer and BA. The majority of staff are great and very helpful! Campus is usually well maintained. However there are a few socialist professors that will really try to push their politics on you. Be careful, just quietly get a transfer to another class if you run into this predicament.

They have general education classes such as nutrition, culinary arts, IT etc, certificate programs, besides usual associate degrees.
