Comfort Inn Carmel By the Sea

Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience. My husband and I, and my wedding party were ALL staying there for our wedding. The front desk person was rude to everyone who checked in, which was super embarrassing. So that's how our wedding weekend started. The housekeeping staff, however, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Housekeeping staff is the only reason they get a 3 star rating and not less.

The front desk lady was named Mary patil, she was incredibly rude and refused to let my 6 year old child go to the restroom. The room was very dirty and I found a cockroach under my bed and parking was outrageous. I had to park 20 minutes away from the property and was forced to walk back at night with my daughter, the break fast was expired and the room smelled off weed and mold. 1/10 experience certainly do not recommend.

Great place to stay! The rooms are very modern, lots of options for breakfast and very close to the centre of Carmel.

More than disappointing experience, noisy room where you hear EVERYTHING, incessant noise from neighbors and the road - no air conditioning and obligation to leave the windows open on the street so no security. Shabby room and unfriendly staff. In short, no value for money!

Clean, fresh air, nice views. OK hotel to stay, nothing special.

Breakfast was included but personally - would not reccomend. Very limited choice and quality tbc.

Service are doing their best - no complaints to them!

Definitely a little noisy but one of the best stays I’ve had on a trip. Very clean and very spacious rooms, we loved the natural light we were getting and how close it was to everything. We didn’t have the free breakfast but it was nice that the option was available to us. Over all, would visit again. The only downside was that we were hoping to check in early (I’ve never had an issue with this in the past), and the check-in lady was not able to accommodate us with this whatsoever. It would’ve made our stay even better, but it’s okay.

The building is very small and cute (not like other Comfort Inns I am used to!) and has separate, motel-style rooms (each room is entered from outside). Check-in was quick and easy, parking was included (a big help in Carmel) and free breakfast was simple and as expected. Though the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the walls were absolutely paper thin. I feel like, without a neighbor in the room next to ours, I might’ve rated this place 4 or 5 stars, but we had the worst couple staying next door, loudly snapping at each other and playing their TV until 1am each night, and I do not hyperbolize when I say it sounded like we were in the same room with them. On the second night I put on my coat and went outside to ask them to please turn down the tv a bit. We got very little sleep here.

Location is great as parking ANYWHERE in Carmel is horrendous! Walking from here was fairly simple, the rooms were clean, appointed well, it's an older building, so a little lacking in insulation from "outside" noises! Hosts were very helpful, very attentive, breakfast was sufficient.

This hotel is small but really nice not a lot of parking but customer service was great breakfast was good really nice
