Community, a Walgreens Pharmacy, Oakland CA

I have a special depot medicine I have to get filled every two weeks. The pharmacist clerk called to place my order. I told her when she asked where she should ship my rx to, she should ship it to the Walgreens on Cutting Blvd in Richmond. What did she do? She shipped it to San Pablo and Laurie Lane where the Walgreens is never open. I called the community pharmacy in Oakland to ask where the medicine is at since it was mailed on 3/24/23. The lady Rita told me my medicine was in Richmond. I told her no it wasn't. She told me I just need to let them know it's a depot as if I'm incompetent. I told her her colleague goofed up. She checked and said they sent it to the Walgreens that's never open on San Pablo and Laurie Lane. I called corporate and they do what they do best, nothing. I understand why they are downsizing.

The nicest pharmacy staff ever. Always call me when I need my Humira shipped. They always take care of any problems. I appreciate them so much. Literally I am lucky they care about their customer. I used to go to CVS and no offense to them but holy cow night and day difference. Crazy how customer service can go such a long way. With me being chronically ill, they make getting my Humira so less stressful and always on time

Our family came here for our Covid-19 booster, best experience yet dealing with vaccines! The senior technician (Veronica) who checked us in was super nice & politely explained the slightest delay (computer was slow). She thanked us for our patience even though we did not at all feel like we were made to wait. The pharmacist who gave the shots (Chandrika) was great with my kiddos, very timely in giving the shots & helpful with information regarding our vaccine records that I was unaware of. The area to wait was very clean! The staff truly are the epitome of good customer service.

The pharmacists used to be so helpful here, and convinced me to stay with them even after I moved away. So they were shipping my prescription to other pharmacies for a couple years, even though at first I didn’t think it was efficient. Now I get a call from a new (?) pharmacist there and he was completely out of line and RUDE. The worst experience I’ve ever had with a pharmacist. I have cut my ties with this pharmacy and I’ve already switched to a new location. Don’t forget that you are working with PATIENTS. If you can’t work with people, then this shouldn’t be your job.

Sign up for a shingles vaccine, fill out a form on line so I won't have to fill it out in the pharmacy. Arrive at the pharmacy, forms have been lost, asked to fill them out again, I do, then they tell me they're out of the vaccine I signed up for. A typical experience at Walgreen's.

They have always been helpful and filled my prescription, with rather complicated insurance requirements competently.
