This is the best and most honest mechanic in Los Angeles. I’ve known John since he first started (working with his father). It’s the quintessential mom & pop place that you can call anytime for advice that you can trust. They have never asked me to write a review and have always been there when I’ve needed them (I drove a 2000 RAV4 for 20 years and now I’m there with my 2020 Kia Soul. I will continue with them for every car I have) —It’s reassuring to know the staff and know what you are getting.

They did a fine job on my car, but 8 months later I found out I had an outstanding parking ticket from an unpaid meter that happened while my car was with them. They never even told me and thought burying it under the rug would fix it. It didn’t, and now I’m out a parking ticket and late fee. Very disappointed.

John was super friendly and helpful, to the point, and honest. My car needed a new battery and he made the swap in just a few hours. He also replaced my key fob battery (which was dead when I gave him my keys) at no extra charge. It's a small thing, but it showed me that he really cares about his clients. He was great about communicating the timeline with me as well. Definitely recommend.

John is such an honest and nice man. I was kind of iffy taking my car to a local mechanic shop but he made sure to only fix what was wrong. He went above and beyond to check for any other issues but didn’t make up any problems to fix them and charge me for unnecessary repairs which is what we need. Exceptional experience I will trust his work and honesty for any future repairs as well.

Everyone here is so kind and helpful. They’re not going to try and BS you, they’ll tell it to you straight and let you know what needs to be done. Not to mention they’re efficient and the prices are the best in the area. It feels so good to have a place I can trust!

John & the team at Community Auto are friendly, professional, and honest. I was new to LA and concerned about finding a mechanic I could trust. I was recommended by a tire shop and I really got lucky. I've had several repairs on multiple vehicles, and they've always been fast, affordable, and they never try to take advantage of a situation to make a couple extra bucks.
I've referred other friends and they even recommended certain repairs be prioritized for their budget. Just all around a great shop with great employees.

I pulled up and was greeted right away. They quoted on price and time it would take to complete the service, and when I returned at the quoted timeline everything was ready for me at the same price! No attempts to upsell me on any additional services. They even topped off my windshield fluid too without me asking. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be back!
