Community Memorial Hospital reviews
14My mother was admitted on a Wednesday due to having covid and not being able to move her legs and she had slurred speech. I told them she was dehydrated and they started an IV 11 hours later! She has dementia and we found out after a running test she had a stroke. They would not allow me to go in and see her for 2 days until we demanded she was discharged. Going against their written policy that a person with cognitive issues was allowed to have 1 support person! The ONLY person who read me her results was a nurse, the Dr.finally called me Thursday after I called several different people! The LACK of care, compassion and communication was unreal! I plan to file a report with the ethics board!
Er staff where really compassionate and nice grateful to have such a wonderful local hospital i transferred to the IPU at vcmc for 1 week
I had a great experience at this hospital after I was admitted with declining kidney function. Prior to being admitted I went to the Kaiser Permanente emergency room in Woodland Hills, but due to a pending strike they decided to discharge me instead of admitting me to the hospital. I was happy the Community Memorial Hospital was able to admit me and also perform a kidney biopsy. I'd like the thank the staff for their genuine concern for my health and their professionalism. They also sent me a very thoughtful card signed by their staff. Thank you!
The Cardiac side of CMH from admitting to discharge is all about care.
Big thanks to the surgery staff who did the cardiac catheterization.
Big thanks to the recovery staff for the TLC.
Looking forward to seeing these people soon as I'm very confident they will sort me out.
I was admitted directly from Urgent Care on Saturday, November 6th, 2021. I can't say enough about the caring people who took care of me. There wasn't a single person there that wasn't caring and professional. They made my stay better. I wish I could remember all of their names but I can't. From my doctor to the day shift to the night shift to all the technicians, everyone was great! Thank you all on the 5th floor East!
I recently had a high fever and visited CMH's ER. Nurse Brian greeted me out front of the hospital and was unbelievably comforting and efficient in checking me in. When I asked him his medical background, he informed me of his two tours in Iraq serving our nation. Once checked in, the rest of CMH's ED staff was wonderful and took care of me like a family member. I don't remember all of the staff's names but each one was professional and kind. All of us in Ventura are lucky to have this hospital in our backyard with all of it's amazing staff.
What happens to a cell phone when a patient goes into surgery? There had better be an advocate or someone to oversee where personal belongings are stored. This is the second (or third) time my husband’s IPhone has been missing this year after surgery! (Previous times, his Iphone was found. This time no one has a clue!)
Worst hospital ever couldn't breathe had to bout almost pass out to b seen but they made me wait 2hrs to get chest xrays then wait for another 2hrs, highly not recommend comin here.
I just wanted to give a big shoutout to the entire CMH staff, specifically RNs Brian & Therese and Dr. Brian. My husband was extremely ill with an unknown cause and Dr. Brian and Nurses Brian & Therese went above and beyond to run numerous tests and ensure my husband was comfortable and well cared for. On top of that, nurse Brian made sure that I was also well cared for while we waited for results and a prognosis. It was an unsettling time, and they made us feel very well cared for. Thank you CMH team!
I just want to make sure I compliment all staff who made my stay very pleasant. I was in rm 5111. …had surgery which went well by Dr Alberstone …Many thanks to Christine, Lani, Dani, Marley, Gilbert, Ken, Rona, Cathy, Irene, Jim, Jay, April & many others. Food was good, care was excellent, instructions were clear, staff always pleasant with a smile, Thank you to ALL who helped on my way to getting better. ️️? ️️
My wife and I had a really good experience delivering our baby. Staff and rooms are really nice and professional. Thanks a million to all the nice hard working staff.
The doctors and nurses are incompetent and careless in the newborn delivery area. I'm glad things didn't go too wrong with our firstborn's birth but ya really set the bar extremely low. I should of made the staff sing, dance and mop the floors to get my money's worth. Only come here if you have free health insurance, DONT pay any deductibles and don't care about your child's birth outcome.
On my husband's 50th Birthday he woke up in excruciating pain. He has been passing a kidney stone for a week.
We came on vacation from LA to see the Dallas Cowboys Training Camp when we made the trip to the ER.
I dropped him off (Covid-19 restrictions), they checked his vitals, admitted him within 5 minutes and I came back to the hotel. He was diagnosed, administered drugs, got a prescription and released an hour later. If we were back home, this whole trip would have taken a minimum of 4 HOURS!
He raved about the staff and felt blessed to have been taken care of in time to celebrate his birthday.
This is exactly what a hospital should. All the doctors and nurses did there best and beyond. The place is spic an span. Tight security! If you have insurance come here and if not you can dance with devil at county up the street. MuhAhahaha!
