Computer History Museum reviews
11Great resources for teens willing to explore computers, has very cool artifacts and learning opportunities within the museum.
This place really shows off the evolution of technology over the years. Great place to educate yourself about Silicon Valley. It also includes a gift shop and cafe!
If you aren’t in Silicon Valley every year, try to spend an hour to visit the Computer History Museum.
It will remind you how old you are; the complete rise of personal computers - but also equipment from long before you were born.
I like the museum. The kids as well. But some areas need some update information. Based on my visit on Feb 22,20
First-class displays. The most interesting to me was the very old and newer computers. Those who go should at least have a little interest in computers.
Wow, just awe inspiring. The way the history of computing and the installations are simpified and described were inspiring. I had learnt about ENIAC and Napier bones and punch cards and BASIC in my school (in an era when internet wasn't that widespread) but is in this museum that I saw how these devices were and the history and evolution of computing. The installations were so many. But I had only four hours to spend here. Plan atleast for a day to be spent here as there are numerous interesting installations. The live demo of the IBM computers was so relatable and to hear the history from people who had worked on it was awesome. The space commanders type game was a little too time consuming - can be skipped. Worth the ticket money and more especially for children who are learning about computers.
Starting to get a little out of date but the exhibition is really nicely laid out and enjoyable. Accessable for a non technical person but still enjoyable for a super nerd, some great artifacts on show!
I am not what one would consider a tech enthusiast by any means. My husband is however, and that's why we ended up going to the computer history museum. I am so glad we did. It was incrediblyely fascinating! You definitely need a few hours in this place to see everything. I would recommend wearing comfy shoes!
A must visit place for a maths and computational history lovers!
