Concentra Urgent Care

The examination takes 20 minutes in total but the waiting was an hour. I was the first customer, that made an 8am appointment. It should take this long for a quick urine/eye/physical review.

Every encounter from receptionist to doctors and nurses are very pleasant and professional. I appreciate that and all of you at Concentra. Thank you.

It was an overall positivity experience. I was greeted, my presence was acknowleded. This is what humans in general want. The older man that was at the front desk was proficient and efficient. I was in and out in let's than an hour. I still had sometime left to get a bite to eat.

Luis in the front desk is a very sassy yet very funny guy. The back office is very friendly and very willing to help you out if you need it. Every time I come here I feel a warm and inviting atmosphere from the staff despite it being an urgent care. If you need to go to a concentra, La Mesa is the best one to choose from. Efficient, fast, amazing staff and an overall great experience.

I came in as a walk in for a drug test. Not busy when I got there. When I came in to check in the staff was very friendly and happy to help. I even made a mistake and they didn't stress. We laughed about it. The staff in the back were just as nice and helpful. They had wonderful heath practices and made it easy.

I had a 1200 appointment at concentra on 102 mile of cars way in National City. It was a simple appointment for drug screening and Hep B shot and MMR shot.
I got to concentra and checked in @ 1135, filled out paperwork, sat down and waited.
At 1300 I was summoned to a room. I sat in the room for 15 min before someone came and got me. I told the nurse for the 3rd time that I have needed to piss since 1215. Finally she took me and I was able to give the sample for a drug test. I finished that appointment at 1337.
The attitude of the staff was that they could care less that I got to my appointment 25 minutes earlier. I am on their time.
With that being said I will let my Union, as well as Comprehesive Health Services know that the CONCENTRA facility, and Staff in National City CA, as well as the CONCENTRA facility, and Staff in La Mesa CA is poor at best.

IT could take a building, but when you've got cordial, thorough, and intelligent leadership in a busy office that good stuff just rubs off on the zip code, and before you know it, You've got cordial, helpful, healthy and intelligent people everywhere! (Breathe, Dre) *****!

Don’t bother making an appointment at this place because they still make you wait 2 hours after your appointed time. Parking is awful too. Go somewhere else if you can.

Went in for a drug test. I fell asleep and they woke me up. Right before I left I got friggin snacks. The staff was extremely patient and friendly. 10/10 would pee in their cups.

Waiting room is small and packed.
Appointments won’t get you too far.
Avoid this place.
I’ve been to a handful of different urgent care facilities across California and this is by far the worst.

Luis at front desk is super professional
The wait for my physical exam to return to work was 2.5 hours.
My exam w/ doctoc took 5 minutes and was profesional and thorough
I will use this Concentra Urgent Care location again when needed

My appt was fairly quick, informative and Cam the tech was awesome. My TB recheck was very quick.

Access was quick for a walk-in. Staff were professional and efficient. I received great service and was out the door to continue with my day.

I saw Spencer Olsen at the la mesa clinic and I honestly felt like I was being pranked. I thought to myself, there's no way this guy is a real Dr. I waited over 3hrs in the waiting room and the exam room because he was "out for lunch" according to his staff even though I had a 1pm appointment. He is extremely rude and hostile. He sarcastically asked me idiotic questions such as "well why does your shoulder still hurt? " and "what do you mean your injury doesn't feel any better? ". He made me feel so uncomfortable, unwelcome and completely unheard. I even had to ask him why he was behaving in such a rude way and why is he talking to me like he has a problem with me. He said I was in "pristine" condition even though 3 mri's and an emg study proved otherwise. It felt like I was on a hidden camera tv show and at any moment the joke would be over and someone would pop in the room and say "gotcha! ". This man should not be practicing and everyone should avoid US healthworks in la mesa CA. (aka concerta urgent care). He was so rude that at the end of his pathetic Dr appointment he literally just scooped up his papers and walked out of the room with even saying goodbye or shaking my hand or even looking at me. Worst experience at any medical facility in my 34 years!

The doctor was able to easily diagnose my injury and provide me with information of what to expect. Also, I was given a realistic timeline of when I would be released to full duty.
I found that all the staff, including Dr. Olsen were very apologetic if there was significant wait time.

Cam and everyone there at HealthWorks La Mesa are professional as well as personable! I’ve been attending various health works throughout the county for at least 15 years and they are by far the best! From the front desk to the MD everyone is fantastic. I hope I don’t have to go back anytime soon lol but if I do I’m going there with a big smile on my face

They were so great! They came and made everyone feel relieved that my dad was going to get the card he needed. They treated him with respect and listened to his concerns and issues. So blessed that they were the ones who gave him the care he needed and deserved.

The staff was friendly and informative and I was in on time for my appointment! Thank you and see you again soon
