Concentra Urgent Care

It took a while to treat me for an injury to my left thumb. The attention of both the doctor who operated on me and the therapists and the rest of the staff is excellent.

Dr cleared me for full duty at work. I have a serious back injury sustained five days prior. Edit 10/1/23 start. I had a broken back. 17 months later, I am still not 100% healed and not back to full duty. End edit. They couldn't help me. They just waisted my time. Horrible place to have to go to for work comp injury. They referred me to the ER, but then gave me a full duty release same day. LMFAO. What a joke. Stay away from them.

I checked in the Chula Vista clinic around 1430 and left about 1745 (a Friday). At the time I visited, there was plenty of parking. The clinic was very busy but all staff members were professional and courteous. They passed out snacks to patient for waiting so long. The office manager or supervisor (I assume because he wasn’t wearing scrubs) was also calling back patients and helping out his staff members, as well as directing contractors to fixing their work orders for the clinic. To me, that says a lot about the type of leader he is. My drug screen, vitals and tb test went by smoothly and quickly. My visit with the PA was excellent. He was very professional and kind. He completed my employment physical, encouraged me to continue with my education and brought me to the nurses station to complete the process. I had to return to the Kearny Mesa office to have my tb test read but that took all but 20 seconds to be complete. All in all, there was ALOT going on at this appointment for everyone but the floor staff works together seamlessly and once out of the wait area it goes by quickly.
The only con I have was filling out the Pre-questionnaire on my phone. It was difficult to navigate it on a mobile phone (probably better on desktop or different device) and deleted three times before it saved. The gentlemen next to me couldn’t access his due to not having enough data. So I’m not sure if there are other methods to filling this out but I’m sure it’s a time saving measure on concentras end since my provider logged in and viewed my answers.

The personnel was so friendly and professional, and the Doctors dedicated and experienced.

Staff was very friendly, which the is the only reason for not getting lower review. I made an appointment for 11am, but was not seen by MD for a little over 2 hours past my appt time.

Over an hour wait even though I had a scheduled apt. Employees were loud and obnoxious with their personal conversations on display for everyone to hear. Completely ridiculous to even have a the option to schedule appointment’s if you’re not seen at the scheduled time. Over an hour? That’s just complete negligence and horrible customer service. I also got my physical done with the door open. Where is the privacy? How about hippa? This place is beyond terrible and I would never advise anyone to come here and I definitely will never come back here again.
