Small hillock among resident complexes with various plants and flora
Good study for botanical knowledge

Exceptionally beautiful and peaceful! I routinely visit most of the major gardens in Southern California, but this was my first visit here. There is a sage garden, a desert garden, South African garden, conifers, all kinds of oaks and walnut trees, a stream, and an awesome hiking / nature trail - and so much more. Can't wait to come back!

Really a beautiful little jewel tucked away in the foothills behind thousand oaks. The garden is easily accessible by foot from an open parking lot, but is not wheelchair friendly as the paths are dirt and garden is planted on a hill, which overlooks the region. An excellent place for a picnic, or to bring the kids or dog. Unfortunately, there are not easily accessible restrooms, so go before you come here.

Picturesque. We popped in for a quick run through, and ended up coming out at dusk saying I can't wait for spring and to bring my camera. Wow. What a Botanical sweet spot. It's not lush with flowers but is nicely done vignettes! Go check it out!

What a fantastic find. Well kept trails, with plenty of rest benches and shade. One of top new favorite places. Great for a hike or family outing

If you love seeing California Native Plants in a natural setting, the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden is the place to see them. Plus they have markers with the plant names. Be sure to bring water and a hat. It can be hot on the walking trails! The Botanic Gardens also has a kiddie playground and an area for picnics. Great garden in Thousand Oaks! BTW the entrance is off Gainsborough (in Thousand Oaks, just off Lynn Rd.)

Picturesque views of the mountainous landscape of southern California. Such a variety of appropriately labeled cactus and other plants! Clear and wide walking paths a bonus.

Peaceful Thursday afternoon walking the garden. The park has a nice combination of sun & shade and the views are awesome. Definitely a place to check out the sunset. Will have to come back for that. I really enjoyed sitting in the bird habitat area. Saw butterflies, birds, hummingbirds, & rabbits. The only important issue is the restroom situation. The restroom at the parking lot by the Kid's Adventure Garden is only opened if the group picnic area is in use. Not happy that I had to walk to the community center at the adjacent park. I did see a porta potty inside the gardens but who wants to use that in 80 degree weather.

They've started adding in a nice path for your feet. They've only done 25 feet, as you can see it quickly goes back to dirt. There are new plants as well. Amazing view!

This is the perfect varied experience for a whole group to enjoy for different reasons. No one leaves trash behind and the area looks great.

Nice place, quiet and well kept, saw lots of work being done to improve gardens with saplings of various plants. Easy to navigate trails and surrounding hills real nice. In the field next to it we saw a hawk hunting critters in the fields, going from tree to tree looking down, talons at the ready. Inside saw lots of small wildlife, fun.

Definitely a must see. Self guided tour around a huge botanical garden. Make sure you have walking shoes.

I really like this walking trail and garden). Plenty of shade areas and benches plus a good assortment of plants. The kids garden is adorable. The only thing I would improve is the amount of signs on the trail. Beware of position oak.

Very very impressed! Easy trails with plenty of wildlife to quietly observe. Fascinated by the oak with the woodpecker holes!

Had so much fun walking through the botanic garden. There is quite a bit of poison oak if you stray from the path near the little loop and along the water.
The plants are quite small but it'll be nice to visit again and see how much they've grown since yesterday's visit. Loved the different gardens that they have along the garden. And the signage was all so helpful.
