3 months ago I paid for my passport and after several failed attempts to pick it up due to the delivery time since it is only from 9: 00 to 10: 00 am. They say they can't find it and I have to present a receipt that they didn't give me. The only proof of Payment is the one reported by the Bank. Look what inefficiency.

They are selling appointments I know this for fact because they had the audacity to tell us that if we call this number and give $40 dollars we could get a appointment.that’s why citizens can’t get an appointment using the internet (we know, we tried for almost 8 months every week before just giving up.) and they will not help you if you show up in person. I recommend you guys report this to the head embassy in Washington D. C.and report this to the local news outlets that do investigations. So many people on here have said how horrible it is to but get an appointment and the lack of help from the consulate on these reviews, that you figure someone would have done something to correct it by now. Update I have found that workers at several embassies are in on the corruption and are the ones you pay to get the appointments and even worse their supervisor is in on it. I have proof with voice recordings. Very sad how badly they treat people who truly have emergencies and they are supposed to represent Columbia and it’s people.

I have been trying to get an appointment for a passport for 6 months, I wrote to them through email, social media, and it is impossible to communicate with them. Now, what I am hearing is that I need to pay a 3rd party in Colombia to get my appointment here in Los Angeles; I believe it. Every Friday at 10am, when supposedly the appointments are available, the site crashes, my conclusion is that they are selling the appointment to brokers. It is inconceivable that a citizen cannot get its passport because of these corruption, lack of good service and literally no sympathy for Colombians from their government. In reality this consulate is good for nothing.

Terrible website, scheduling system never works and very limited, very short opening hours, the phone line only refers you to the website and the call hangs up.

This is the worst consulate that I have being dealing with, I just spoke with someone at the San Francisco consulate, supposedly third parties are stealing the appointments and selling them outside, and I have being sending emails for the past 2 months and I just get an automatically replied saying we have to go to their web… your web doesn’t work! No appointments no nothing you go all the way to the next year and nothing! When are you going to fix this problem? Am I going to have to flight to SF for a passport renewal? They changed their system and they stopped doing online appointments, you have to text to a number and they will give it to you personal… come on! Unless reach out to us and give us and explanation of what’s going on!

A disappointment that the customer service in this embassy does not apply it, nor improve the image that they are showing in the state of California. They continue to work with the Colombian system, little advice and the technology system is very complex due to lack of updating. I see that the new consul only comes to the state of California just to fill the empty space left by each consul as a representative of Colombia and they only spend time in meetings taking photos to verify that they are doing a job and do not worry about doing their job as a good Leader to clean up that office in Beverly Hills and hire new staff who have a desire to work and have professional demeanor and the charisma to provide good customer service and people who are updating the system to improve the appointments and calls All the comments and experiences of other colleagues and people who are not citizens of the United States speak about the charge of $40.00 to obtain an appointment. This is a fraud action where it will be reported to the BBB, Governor of California and the city of Los Angeles.also head embassy in Washington D. C.

This is the worst and horrible service. The system never works these people are unable to attend to their Colombian citizens. The scheduling system never works and you are never able to contact them. I have never seen people so incompetent and this Colombian consulate just sucks.

The worst Colombian consulate I've ever been to, there are never appointments and now they are charging external people to do them and the consulate, knowing it, does nothing and after the fact I came to claim an ID that IS already ready, it's not like I'm going to take them away time and they refused to give it to me after driving from San Diego for 3.5 hours and paying for the hotel because according to them it is on the website that you could only claim until 10 am and arrive after that time. They don't have any sympathy with the citizens, perhaps they don't know that one asks for permission and spends money to travel here with the horrible traffic of Los Angeles. All the people are complaining and the consulate just ignores it, it is nothing more than seeing the WhatsApp of the group of Colombians to know that the attention is not received, I have had to go to San Francisco on some occasions because it is impossible here.

This is literally the worst embassy I’ve ever been to. They’re so slow and understaffed. There’s barely any seats here and people are standing all over the place on top of each other. This place is disrespectful. I’d rather go to a different state than have to deal with this nonsense again. Bless your soul if you end up coming here.

What a disgrace, worse customer service I ever seen in my entire life, I’d give you guys 0 stars if I could, never answer the phone, never respond to emails, the appointment system never has appointments available
I emailed them every week for almost 6 months trying to get ahold of them

The service of this foreign ministry in the USA is the worst there can be! They never answer the phone, if you go to the consulate it's a mess, not even because they were in their country. If you go for information they give you an e-mail that is not even understood. Please, you are in a country with many resources, use them to help citizens and/or tourists who want to go to this beautiful country!

Terrible service…. They earn a substantial salary…and work as if they were not paid…. It is because of this kind of people that Colombia will never progress because they only think about how to get more money without doing enough for their fellow citizens…. Lazy! They brag about working in Beverly Hills but they don't know or want to do their job properly.
WHAT A SHAME OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS…. They compete in INEPTITUDE and without a doubt these useless people from Los Angeles take the trophy…. Terrible service IN EVERYTHING!

This consulate is the worst thing there can be. I've been wanting to make an appointment for my passport for more than two months and I haven't been able to connect before 10 o'clock and not even so, what a disgraceful disappointment at the consulate
