Overall I had a great experience Luz was very helpful. Not only did she answer all my questions but also helped me find a place that was nearby to get my passport pictures.
Thank you

Impressive service.
I had a pleasant experience with Miguel from the JCE; he went above and beyond to inform the steps I needed to take in order for them to issue my cédula. In addition to my pleasant experience with Miguel—I’d also like to mention that Jorge did an impeccable job being the first point of contact upon calling the Consulate. Both gentlemen were very helpful and professional. Thank you both.

The worst service and the greatest lack of professionalism. I live in San Francisco CA. Almost 5 months ago I started the process to renew my passport, they told me that the passport would be ready in 12 weeks. 14 weeks have passed and I haven't received my passport so I call the consulate and speak to an employee with a non-Dominican accent. The very kind lady tells me that they are late and that I should add 2-3 more weeks to the 14 weeks already passed. 3 weeks have passed and I call again and he tells me the same thing, add 2-3 more weeks. The lady was being nice until I called on 03-11-23 and apparently she had no answer and when I told her my name she asked me to wait on the line for a minute, she left me waiting for 5 minutes and then she just closed the phone, I thought the call was cut off so I called again about 1 hour later, this time the lady answered the phone and when I told her my name she had the audacity to close the phone in my face without saying anything to me. I got tired of calling later and they didn't answer the phone. It is difficult to believe that in 2023 we Dominicans will have to wait half a year or more just to renew a passport that years ago one could get on the same day and apart from that the government uses our taxes to pay a salary to an employee who mistreats a Dominican who contributes too much to his country. Every Christmas I go to the DR to spend it with my family, now I don't even know if I will be able to go having my vacation planned, all because of the inefficiency of this institution.

They never answer the phone, poor Dominicans I imagine with an emergency and I am American/Mexican I am a supplier and to contact good mothers, 2 weeks and pure ring ring, The one at the reception of 905N which is where it is in Glendale told me that There, well, they don't receive anyone who is fine.

First of all I don’t have a picture to share because all the Information is private, but, back in May I had to travel with my family from Tx to punta cana, we had a last minute issue with the oldest US passport, so I requested to the embassy of the Dominican Republic in California a rout letter in case we need it, I would say that was the fastest service I’ve ever had, Mr. Rodríguez and his team made everything possible to have that document ready for me to travel. I’ve been following the DR embassy in Cali IG page for a while and I like all the post and the interaction they have with the Dominican community in the west coast, even though I’m in TX I gave a try and oh boy, they did their job! Well done guys!

Where do I start. The whole office was friendly and cordial. Jorge at the office went above and beyond as we needed passports urgently and with the shortage of passports books he connected me to the PR office which also took care of business. I’m proud of both el consulado (passport) y La junta (birth certificate) de los angels. Superb attention to details in guiding me and my daughters through this process. Thank you! Forever grateful and you make me and our citizens proud of being Dominican. I felt supported. Job Well Done! By doing this in such a timely fashion you made our daughters dream come true and they are now able to and will represent their country proudly.

I came to the Consulate to renew my Dominican I D, I was greeted cordially, everyone that entered after me said hello, good mornings, but the above and beyond deed of all the staff at this office was admirable. My picture needed to be jewelry free and my diamond studs would not come off. After almost 30 minutes trying, one of the agents, Leny Taveras suggested calling maintenance and asking for some Pliers, she actually went and got him, Jorge! Well it worked, my studs were cut off and I was able to take my picture and obtained my new ID!

The service I received from Mrs. Lenni Taveras of La Junta Central and the Vice Consul Reinisis Figuereo was first class. Both super efficient and friendly. The consulate staff is very professional and hospitable. Very good experience. Thank you! Carmen Rosa Rodriguez

Terrible, I sent to renew my passport, it's been more than 8 weeks and it's still not ready, it's story and story, it's embarrassing
