I'm so thankful for this shop. They really take care of you and work hard to find you the best affordable options. I've been here a couple times for various things (including a transmission replacement) Not only did they get me back on the road in 1 day but people were shocked at how affordable my replacement was compared to other shops. The staff there is great and very knowledgeable. They clearly explained the work being done and offer warranties on some of their work which gives me peace of mind. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve never been more impressed than I have with the service I received from Gage over at Cooks Auto. The water pump in my car broke and unfortunately it was in the engine and needed major work. Gage walked me through the whole process and kept in touch via text every single day! I recommend cooks auto to anyone looking for a stress free repair.

I took my Mitsubishi outlander to cooks auto. Because I hear a funny noise coming from my brakes. And they did a good job fixing the problem. I will use them from now on.

This place is awesome! My car decided it wasn't gonna start and leave me stranded on a hot day! I originally called another place that was charging almost $500. I said no way! Called these guys and had my car towed there. They were able to see me right away. Turns out it was a simple, inexpensive fix. I am so grateful Cooks Auto Repair got me back on the road in a short amount of time. They are the best around! Very happy customer!

It's been over a year and I should've left a review then but I needed front brakes badly and I knew I had a warranties pair from Autozone already on my car which needed to be replaced. The man who's name I absolutely forgot helped me the moment they opened (I was waiting outside) I needed rotors also but I could only afford to replace pads so the guy goes next door to autozone gets my new pads for free because they tried no to honor warranty and did my brakes before an hour was even up. Did not pressure me about the rotors as I literally didn't have enough money. Told him I'd be back for rotors but now my back brakes need replaced so I'll be calling this Monday! Thanks guys for treating women with respect because as we all know a lot of shops like to take advantage of women.

Let me tell you this FAMILY owned shop is the BEST hands down in Sacramento! I was SO worried about getting my a/c repaired as it was "fixed" last year by another shop! Mr Shiloh and his wonderful family treated me fair AND KIND. His son's are some of the most polite and helpful young men! They repaired my Toyota Sequoia a/c and fixed some other minor issues I had! Please do NOT hesitate to bring your car to this family! You will be happy you did!

Great honest work at a great price. They even let me bring my own parts. I would have paid more than triple at an Audi dealer for a routine brake pad and rotor service. I wish I wasn’t moving away so I could keep coming back. I couldn’t recommend these guys more. Their high rating speaks for itself.

2001 Toyota 4Runner, manual AC system inspection. HVAC control module/AC amplifier replaced.

Gave this shop a call today (Thursday) during peak hours for an inspection on my AC system and was asked to bring it in, no appointment needed (for myself) ; extremely hassle free.

Arrived and the business was really organized, well kept/clean, and professional! All employees I dealt with were extremely polite, informative, and helpful. I definitely will be recommending this shop to all.

All workers put all hands on deck to finish up my car as soon as they could to satisfy my wishes before close. If you are patient with your service, you will be happy with the outcome.

Ben and Cooks Auto Repair are amazing! I took my car to a shop in Orangevale and the owner of the other repair shop told me all the fluid came out of my air conditioner. The cost to refill it would be $230.00. I approved and 30 minutes later the owner of the other shop called me back and told me that it all ran out onto the ground due to leaks. He informed me that it would now cost $2,500.00 and that he would have to remove my dash in my Lexus GX 460 and keep my car for a week. I had my son pick my car up. Meanwhile a client of mine referred me to Cooks Auto Repair. She said that she has worked with them for years and that they were super honest and did great work. I called Cooks and after they took a look at my vehicle they found it only needed the fluid no leaks. WOW! Cooks your are amazing and I will be bringing both my GXs to you from now on and refer you to all my family, friends and colleagues. Thank you all!

I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection. They determined there were repairs that were needed but assured me that they were not an emergency and gave me an idea of how long I could safely go before scheduling those repairs. They gave me a very fair quote on those repairs, and it was just such a change of scene not being presssured that day to do all the work like every other mechanic I've been to. I so appreciated their honesty and no pressure attitudes. This will now be my forever mechanic and I would highly recommend to anyone.

Seemed almost cool/fair until This place (Gage) referred me to a crooked place "Tony's Tires" for "alignment" after some refurbished part work- here's what they did to my Tie Rod End Adjusting Sleeve (which was perfectly straight and original heavy steel b4 I arrived that I'll never get back.) No legit honest place would recommend such a nefarious/shady place. I could have died and could barely drive to get to a honest shop to point out/fix what they did. Zoom in to see wrench/pound marks BofAR here I come.

My Challenger was overheating. I took it to Cook's Auto Repair. They replaced the oil fill tower, it had a crack, it's plastic! Coolant runs through the tower and their is a little coolant radiator there. They replaced the tower with a better aluminum tower upgrade, problem solved. Repair was done in one day, price was reasonable for the work, highly recommend!
