Cool River Pizza & Taphouse, Rocklin CA

We had a birthday party for my (adult) daughter with about 20 people. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and the staff were very helpful and attentive. The pizza was very good. Everyone had a great time.

Peculiar place. Went here with my boyfriend and we quickly learned there was literally only one person working. Seriously…one person. Felt bad for the guy.

Food wasn’t the best, service wasn’t the best because nobody works here lol.

Just be wary of your time constraints when eating here.

Update August 2023: We recently had a team meet and greet for soccer at Cool River and the owners and staff were amazing! 14 families and 14 energetic youth *plus siblings* fit really well in the semi-private room. We brought in an extra table and it was perfect. The owners were really great and extended the Monday special to my massive pre-order. Highly recommend this place for team parties.

***March 2023: We had our end of season flag football luncheon at Cool River Pizza and I'm surprised I haven't heard more about this place. They were super nice and welcoming. There is a section in the back that is a semi-private room which was perfect for our team. There is also a larger section adjacent to their outdoor patio which would be perfect for Spring, Summer, and Fall groups as well.

Service was great and they were very nice and accommodating to our energetic crowd. I ordered two pizzas and wings and we enjoyed. Their servings are generous and I ended up with leftovers for a couple of nights.

Extraordinary staff and owners who are willing to host a weekly board game group I sometimes attend. They have a larger than average menu with great salads.

Came in at 7: 55PM on a Saturday looking for good pizza and a cold beer. I was greeted by an employee mopping the front area and told that the oven had already been turned off because it was a slow night even though hours clearly state they are open until 9pm. Never coming back.

My son Jordan eats pizza and basically pizza.he picked this place on our drive from Chico based on the pictures and he was not disappointed! Danielle was so friendly and gave us options! The sauce was amazing! Will definitely be visiting this place again when we drive down here!

The pizza here used to be REALLY GOOD, i dont know why but the last 2 or 3 times ive been it was really underwhelming, like round table when its been left out.i wont be buying pizza here anymore

Loved the ranch garlic chips. Single serve Pizza is one of the best in Rocklin. Friendly staff to boot.

So it’s a Tuesday night, and at our house we usually have tacos. (Taco Tuesday) However this year Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday (Friday is Pizza Night) Sooo we decided to try taco pizza. CRP&T was the frst place I found when I searched for this unique flavor combination so I gave it a try. (Unique to CA not the Midwest) We ordered the half chicken taco half regular taco pizza. It was phenomenal everything you want and expect in taco pizza. Now since I refuse to wait around for delivery. I went and picked up the pizza myself while I was there I couldn’t help but notice how great the space is. They have a nice spacious inside area for dining with a private area for larger parties as well as a really nice patio space to enjoy your order outside. To top it all off they have a great happy hour so I had to leave them a review and give them my five star stamp of approval. Oh and the bathrooms are single use which for me is a dealbreaker. I definitely recommend cool River Pizza and taphouse you got a check it out.

The night we went they were understaffed as a large sports team party came in unannounced - they warned us at first it would be awhile. The staff made sure that the food for our kids came out first. We enjoyed sitting on the shaded patio and were impressed with the rotating beer selection. We'll be back again!
