Copper Cafe and Bakery reviews
24Had the Monte Crisco sandwich with sweet potatoe fries. Came with three different preserves; raspberry, strawberry and apricot. Delicious! Would recommend!
Don't go for the food. Thoroughly unimpressive. Overtired, overworked, extremely poorly managed waitstaff. Management has no idea what they're doing which slows the service exponentially. The breakfast food and menu is from the 80s and sure tastes like it. Everyone received cold and bland breakfast food. Had to send watery poached eggs back.
It's definitely not a place to go for brunch. It's at least decently priced. No one really tries with anything, they're just resting on their laurels.
The most amazing everything! Excellent breakfasts, great place to take a walk after a great meal, a must see!
The eclair we purchased was delicious, as is all Madonna food. However, the lady at the counter helping us was rude.
Great diner food and great service! (Thank you, Lita!) The interior, like the rest of the Madonna Inn, is ecclecticly well decorated. We enjoyed the entire experience and we will definitely be back! Don't forget to grab a slice of pie or cake from the bakery to take home with you.
I find that this place is expensive I had a Monte Cristo it was $18 and I got fruit instead of fries it was very soggy but the fruit was good then we got a piece of cake I feel that the cake is good but it's not like it was before I got the toffee crunch cake and there was very little toffee on it before the whole side was full of toffee and the inside seem to be more cream then cake
WOW, What a BUSY place. In the midst, they still did an extraordinary job of taking care of us. Picking up a Pie for daughter's birthday, & YUMMY. ALWAYS a treat!
Loved the avocado salad and the banana nut cake! The filet mignon and the chicken sandwich were also good. The staff weren't very friendly even though the place wasn't that busy.
The customer service is constantly fast, great ambience, kind employees. I will come back again when I am nearby.
Very good food and service. Always busy so be prepared for wait at lunch especially on holidays and weekends.
Not the best meal I've had there. Asked for well done burger, it was red inside. Temp outside was 60, inside was 50. Would not adjust thermostat.
Amazing cookies, cakes, and pies. Do yourself a favor get the oatmeal butterscotch cookie or you'll regret that you didnt I promise you. Great apple Dutch pie.
The Madonna Inn's wonderful coffee shop. You have to try their cheeseburger. It's the best in California.
Their Pies are to die for! Bring your appetite because plates are huge, leaving no room for pie. Best to split plates.
I always get the Monte Cristo but this time I went with pastrami. Not nearly as good as the Monte Cristo. The Aus jus was pretty much hot water.
Yes! Yes! Yes, yes, YES! Love the pink cake. Was inquiring about whole cakes for my birthday and they are very reasonable.
The building is nice I enjoyed the decor, we went on a Wednesday shortly after lunch time, we walked in and was asked by a young lady who I assumed was the seater how many in our party? After I told her she told us it will be just a few minutes while they clean the table and she pointed to one near the front. Well while we were looking at the cakes and pie in the display case, they sat a couple at the table we were waiting for. Okay stuff happens, we were then asked by a young man how many in our party, after I told him he put the info into a tablet and asked for my phone number and proceeded to tell me it will be about 10-15 mins. This is 17 mins after we walked in the door. While we were standing there I noticed that a few couples had come in and had been seated rather quickly.i counted 4 groups, after the fifth group (all came in after us) I asked the lady what was going on? She explained to me we are waiting for a table by the fireplace to become available (it was 105 outside) I thought oh okay the wife might like that. After 45 mins of waiting we were taking to a table in the way back corner of the restaurant next to the fireplace that was off. This table was huge for at least 8 people. So after half way through our meal I figured out they put us in the back because we had a child and they didn’t want our child to disrupt the other guest, our child slept the whole time we were inside. The food was cold the Service was the worst, The candies were pretty good, the cake was dry and the pie was covered in almonds even after I asked for none twice. I sent the pie back twice and both times it came out with shaved almonds on it. So MY CHILD AND I won’t be back EVER
Very interesting interior and beautifully wellafe but the food is worst than Mac Donald's so it's pretty bad.
Great food. Ask for potato salad to go with your burgers. Tale home black forest cake with or without cherry sauce. Yummy!
Besides being a super fun place to visit with all the unique aspects to the Madonna Inn, the food at Copper Cafe is fantastic. The Monte Christo sandwich was huge and full of meat and cheese, deep fried to perfection. The Pink Champagne cake was not only pretty in pink but really tasty.
