Spanish Restaurant Coqueta reviews
18The Paella took so long to be served and it was just ok level sadly but overall vibe is good for group lunch/dinner. Great tapas
This was recommended to us however food was very disappointing but the service was great. Eggplant was charred almost tasted burnt and the calamari had little to no flavor. The black garlic spread was flavorless tasted like mayonnaise with food coloring. We ended up closing tab and moving to another place. Will not return.
Absolutely horrible experience. The food is way too expensive for this type of stuff to happen. Staff gave the worst service I’ve ever seen no exaggeration. I asked for an ice tea and got it 50 mins later when I’d forgotten about it and thought they did too. They never refilled my water or ask how I’m doing. All the waiters only paid attention to one table with a big party for the whole night. Then, finally when it was time to pay, I decided not to tip due to the terrible service I received. I still treated the staff with respect and courtesy despite the service, but I seriously felt they didn’t deserve a tip, for the poor service I received. I left the restaurant and checked my bank 2 days later: THE STAFF ADDED THEIR OWN TIP FRAUDULENTLY.it’s one thing to give bad service, it’s another to commit fraud. Upon contacting the restaurant about this issue, I was told the manager would contact me but they never did. Horrible experience and I’d never come back.
The octopus is and was delicious the paella delicious the croqueta de pollo very, very good the service very kind and respectful
Enjoyed delicious wine there. I would say that although I am sure they have delicious foods, most of it was in the form of appetizers, and the selection wasn't one that made us feel like we could enjoy more than 1 appetizer and a meal. Good for drinks and nice atmosphere.
Service wasn’t very attentive (similar to their Napa location), but the food was good. Would recommend more for casual tapas and drinks more than a full dinner.
Totally not worth it for the food. This is a try-hard Spanish menu. Drinks are good, and service is fine. Food is under-seasoned and inauthentic. Dessert is EXCELLENT. Not worth your time or money. Maybe just pop by for quick drinks and dessert?
The dishes were amazing and delicious, cocktails were done very nicely and balanced. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Overall great environment, I will definitely return.
It is pricey (the only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars). Yet, service was great. Ensalada de Kale is a must. We ordered a bowl of Bocadillo De Calamari which was delicious too with its interesting mayo sauce. However, if you order the Bocadillo De Calamari be aware it's quite greasy since it is fried. Gaucho Bistec was great! I'd say it is enough for two people with a salad or an order of tapas. We had some leftovers after all.
Loved the various tapas Coqueta had to offer. They are delectably delicious. A third trip back will be needed to try all on the menu. Nice outdoor seating and social distancing. Staff are friendly and hospitable. Thank you Coqueta!
Great tapas bar on the embarcadero. They are doing outdoor dining and have set up a tent. Definitely try out their cocktails and wine selection too. Their octopus dish is really good as well
The food and service is excellent. Reservations are optimal, as it has a small indoor seating area. I haven't had the chance to dine outside, but they do provide the option (outdoor heaters are provided during wintertime). The ambiance is especially nice during the slower times. For diners who prefer a quieter environment, please be aware that the volume can elevate when indoor seating is filled.
Very good food and interesting varied menu. There are definitely more meat-lovers dishes so if you're a veg, better scope it out first. Nice choice of wines and cocktails. Good service. One thing they could have done better is to close the plastic walls earlier, wind was wipping through and I was shivering. Even after I asked they didn't get the heat working or the walls closed for quite some time.
Absolutely fantastic 5-Star Spanish Restaurant in Napa and also in Fisherman’s Wharf Pier-5 of the Embarcadero in San Francisco.
Very Highly Recommend! 5-Stars
Loved the food, drinks and ambience.enjoy an excellent view while having an amazing Paella (we had the vegetarian one) my favorite drink was La Barca which is pictured below.
All I can say is Wow! I can't pronounce the dishes that I ate but everything was delicious! Oh, and you can't forget about the cocktails!
I have been to Coqueta 5 times and my experience was 5/5 on the first 4 occasions. This review is for my latest visit on Jan. 30th. The drinks and ambiance were excellent as always and the hosts were kind enough to switch our table to another with less wind/noise. The drinks and the food were excellent as well. The first thing that was subpar was how long it took for the paellas and drinks to arrive. For our second round of drinks, we had to ask the waiters twice and wait close to 30 minutes. To compensate, we were offered free desserts (1 each) but ended up getting charged for one. In addition, I ordered the seafood paella which must have been bad because both of us ended up getting food poisoning a few hours later. This is not the kind of service you'd expect on a dinner that cost $200.
The hostess was very hostile and cut us off before we could even ask if they do cocktails to go. My sense is that this is a place that doesn't need repeat customers and caters to tourists - and as a consequence doesn't care.
