I injured my arms in a mountain biking accident and was initially seen by urgent care but referred by my doctor to get further diagnoses.luckily I received a call that their x-ray machine was not working and I should bring in my xrays from urgent care. I'm so thankful that I did because I was able to get in, see a specialist, get a cast of on my right arm (fractured wrist) and get diagnosed with right arm soft tissue damage. I also receive time off work to heal. I have an appointment to get the cast off a week before I go on vacation.

Thank you to the office staff and PA Ashley. You made my stressful day less stressful.

Was told I had to wear a mask the day before my appointment. No way. Cancelled.

Called a few days ago and spoke with Toni who was rude and condescending. Asked me to call back with some of the information she needed. If she would had waited a few seconds I could had given her the info. Called back and spoke with someone else who was professional and pleasant to speak to. I could hear Toni being rude and condescending to another caller. I expressed to the young lady who was as taking care of my call that she was professional unlike Toni who I could still hear in the background being rude to someone else.

Anyways, I was told to get a copy of my ultrasound and to have my doctor fax her notes. There was nothing mentioned about getting an X-ray done.
I was told by the ER, my primary doctor and the General Surgeon that an X-ray would not show the piece of date palm thorn that’s lounged in my forearm (Plain X-ray films cannot show the thorn piece as they are radiolucent, Ultrasound is more helpful in localising the thorn particles and soft tissue changes).

Fast forward to today, unfortunately the receptionist was Toni. Again, same rude and condescending attitude and tone. I advised her I got all the documents and images that were asked of me by the previous receptionist. Toni advised me that I needed an X-ray done and that was the doctors protocol. I advised her that the ER doctor, primary and general surgeon advised me that an X-ray was not needed since the X-ray will not show the thorn in my forearm, hence why two ultrasound where done.

I told her that the previous receptionist did not mention anything about an X-ray. Toni with her condescending tone told me “everyone in this office knows you need an X-ray. ”

At this point in time I advised her that I wanted to speak to someone else and that I would like to file a grievance reference the above. Toni advised me she was gonna sent a message to someone so they could call me reference my grievance and I ended my phone call with her.

This so far has been a terrible and frustrating experience. I wish I would had stayed with Kaiser.

If you like waiting 90 minutes for a simple preop appointment then come here. If you like the doctor writing inaccurate information in your chart…. Then come here. Poor communication and no respect for a patient and their time. It seems no one cares.

Dr. Baum and his staff are amazing! Dr. Baum has replaced both of my husband's knees and now he can be active and do all the things he loves doing. Now it's my turn and I know I will be well taken care of!

I’ve seen Dr. Tooma since 2015 and until my last visit today 05/31/2023 Dr. Tooma is delivering the same level of services with same attitudes, he is very professional, very attentive, he never leaves the room until all your questions are answered and your concerns are addressed, he used very simple words to make sure you understand your symptoms. Thank you very much Dr. Tooma.

Dr. Tooma gave me the shot in my left knee but before that, he took time to explain what my options were and helped me understand, enough for me to choose. I feel so much better now and even forgotten the pain I used to feel. The front office was superb. I did not know that my appointment was in the afternoon, but when I arrived in the morning, they made time for me to be seen. So considerate and understanding! Truly grateful to both Dr Toom and the front desk.
