Costco Tire Center, San Diego CA

Terrible service for appointments. What is the point of making an appointment if you have to wait in a long line? Appointments should have a priority line.

A single employee to attend the counter, very friendly the only one who is there but it is impossible to have speed, kindness and do not stress and the customers also end one stressed desperate the truth terrible service in attention

Good quality service but terrible on wait time even if there’s appointment.

They handled appointment and non-appointment the same. Every time i had appointment on tires service I still waited for over three hours

Where are all the employees? Why are there 8 customers in the tire center and nobody is here to help them? More importantly, where the hell is a manager or someone in charge? This is the single worst Costco tire in the country.

Always, always, get an appointment if you can (you'll be thrilled going to the front of the line). Service times are rediculously long. Don't be surprised if you have to wait six (6) hours or longer if you don't have an appointment. Never enough staff on hand. Always a long line. Undertrained desk staff lacking in basic customer service skills (more training please. Just say you're sorry if someone in the shop, front or back, screws up. Don't get defensive. Apologize and give options. Also, better to reasonably overestimate service times as customers will be thrilled when their service is completed sooner and it will give them a buffer in their own schedules). If you have wheel locks bring them with you as this shop, unlike the vast majority of other shops, doesn't have a set to help you out of a jam with. Management appears to be non-existent. Some staff are very pleasant and accommodating though rare (pay them more?). Two stars seems disingenuous, three seems a bit much. 2.5/5 stars.

Went in for a tire balance and rotation and the vibration of my car was worse after. Went in again and they told me for sure one of my tires was bent. After no tire was bent but the previous tech failed to properly balance it.

First and last time going to this tire center.

Look at all the other reviews: this place is BAD. They make you wait 30 minutes in line to check into your online appt, then you have to wait another 30 minutes in line after keys are ready to be picked up, which took me 20 seconds for my turn to get my keys back. It's VERY warm in there and you will be sweating. Workers play on their computer for long periods of time before they call up next customer. Probably the worst Costco tire center customer service in California because they don't care about your time.

I ordered 4 tires of Michelin defender, and was told those ordered tires will be arriving in three days, I came back four times and told me tires didn't arrive, finally I wanted to talk to a manager and he is gonna follow up to get my tires in store, today almost 17 days of my purchase they called me my tires are here.
This location is not organized and they don't care about customer, very sad.

Went in for a tire patch with an appointment atat 5pm.its 7: 26pm and my car is ready. What.the.heck costco? Worst customer service. Go anywhere but here for tire work. Save your time.

These guys don't care about appointments or their customer's time. Waiting an hour just to be seen is the norm. No apologies, no sense of urgency. Call ahead? Forget about it, they don't answer the phone

Worst experience so far. I've had several bad experiences at this place but this time was the worst. 2.5 hours for a simple flat tire repair. Came in on time with a scheduled appointment. Car was jacked up without hub caps for 1 hour. Bay was bot busy. Perhaps they were short staffed but that just highlights poor project management if you can't get a simple flat done in less that 2.5 hours. I guess its more valuable to add new tires to the person who just bought them and my flat repair which is warranty free, but.poor customer service. 2 techs are gems.but.they weren't my techs this time.

I love costco but my experience with the service center was sub-par. My vehicle recently developed an issue where the battery drains completely when you turn the vehicle off. I figured I could jump it and then take it to costco because I saw online that they test batteries. Fast forward to this morning where I come in and they are swamped. I see a big sign that it's appointments only but figure my task is small and wait eagerly to see what they say. There are 3 customer ahead of me and only one service writer. I wait patiently for my turn for the better part of 20 minutes whilst my fiance waits in the car to ensure it stays running and we don't die again. I finally get my turn and ask if they check batteries to which the service writer says yes! But I have to bring the battery in. NOT what I was expecting. I was disappointed to have the service available but in a very inconvenient manner.

I decided to drive 5 minutes down the street to AutoZone where they came out to my car and tested the battery without any disassembly of my vehicle.

I don't think I will visit this service center again without an appointment or without calling to ensure there services are what is expected.

Excellent customer service. The store staff took great care of me from the first day I arrived with the flat tire until the day they fixed it. Take note, they do allow same-day appointments, but you may have to wait several hours to be seen. It is better that you have an appointment so that they can assist you at that time. I especially want to thank Ernesto, Connor, and “T” for their attention and understanding.

I went to this Costco tire center when I realized I had a problem with my tire. The employees were swamped, clearly very busy and probably understaffed, but everyone was working nonstop to help us customers as efficiently as possible. They were able to squeeze me in to get 2 tires changed and finished right as the tire center was closing. All the staff members I talked to were so kind and helpful, I will definitely be coming back to this location next time I need tire service!

I called ahead and checked how long a walk-in was, and they told me it was expected to be around 4hr, very understandable because they're extremely busy. Brought my car in for my flat and waited for a call, then came back just on time. They were very professional, explaining the problem with the rubber seal on my tpms and fixed it up for free. Doubled checked to see if everything was good and now my car's in tiptop shape
