Cotija's Mexican Food

I have been calling for 20 min and no one picks up, I went to the taco shop and the cashier was really rude and she gave us some one else's order

I like this restaurant, they do it fast and there are not so many people, sometimes they need to put a few things but it's fine for me, My favorite is California burrito and the agua de ochata is the best, it’s sweet and has a good taste

Been coming here for years, and the food is still really good! My only gripe is the prices, but I guess we can blame that on inflation

I have been going to this place for years and recently started using Uber-Eats for delivery. Never had an issue until tonight. I ordered Cheese Enchiladas, Shrimp Enchiladas, and a Potato Taco. Uber driver Marco delivered on time. When I opened the bag I had 1 container with 1 cheese enchilada & 1 shrimp enchilada and the taco. I called Cotija’s to tell them they forgot food in my order. The person in the background said he knew which order it was and I could come down and get the food or Uber could delivery. I asked if they were paying for Uber and they said “No”. I told them since it was there mistake they should. I was then told to call tomorrow and speak to the manager.
Needless to say I a bit irritated.

I ordered the 5 rolled tacos. I didn't realize that I get a free drink. Total came to $9+ tax.
There was so much beef in these more than I have ever had and I've tried a lot of Mexican restaurants and fast food. This place is small and gives you food for your$$$. They even offer $2 taco on Tuesday! Will be coming here from now on.in Chula Vista, 3rd&K.

I ordered a half order of Carne asada fries for $10. When I got my order;
1. The plate had no Carne asada it was mostly fries and all the other ingredients
2. I know I ordered a half order but it was less then half a order and for the price of $10 was not worth it. I did tell the ladys they where nice but they just gave me a small cup with Carne asada. I just sat down and laughed soo hard with my buddy because it was ridiculous on how stingy they can be. I been to the cotijas and order before half order and never been this disappointed! Not going back!

I hate to give such a low rating, especially in times like this but I would hate for others to waste hard earned money on very disappointing food preparation. I have gone here a few time, giving them the opportunity as a customer, but last time I was there I again spent around $60, which was high for a few items, and was very disappointed on the over cooked Carne Asada Fries, but not just on one order but two orders, over cooked means hard almost burnt fries, meat and cheese was nearly visible. Tacos were made with 2 large tortillas, with potions for mini tacos, it was just embarrassing. I wouldn’t of minded if they had sold them to me as mini tacos with small tortillas, the meat was good. Lastly, even if you order to eat in, the food is packed and tied in a plastic bag, not giving you the best vibe. Why a 2 star, the food itself isn’t bad, when done right, but you can definitely see the portion size and the pride they take in preparing food is just not a priority. Make me think at a personal option that they are struggling to stay afloat and it’s passed on to the consumer with higher prices and less quality of product. If you want to spend less money there is a jack in the box next door, you’ll at least know what you pay for. So order at your own risk.

Hella over-price. 8.40 for shreeded chicken burrito 0.89 cents for rice inside $2.99 for a small horchata and then they wanna add 0.50 cent to use credit card. Not worth it. Horchata has no flavor. Drive down the street to Robertos everything 7 bucks this place is highway robery and its not even great food

Cashier and cook. Slow service. Others received their order before us. Good food, but not as good as Lemon Grove location.

I've been a customer for about ten years and recently the prices have been very high and the aguas frescas taste horrible.

Worst carne asada burrito, to be a carne asada doesn't have to have a fried Pico de Gallo that's a ranchers burrito, so expensive and too small for the price. PANCGOS ON H STREET 100 PERCENT BETTER.

Went and ordered Carne Asada Nachos. Payed almost $13 for them, when I opened it up, there was hardly ANY CARNE ASADA in there, they smothered it with sour cream a lil bit of guacamole and cheese. Very disappointed! I Will NOT BE Coming back to this location Ever! Very inconsistent. Over Priced and just cuz it says beef shortage don't mean you can be cheap on the beef when your prices are raised and we're paying for it. So Frustated. Never Again. One star is not Low enough. In the photo, ate a lil, but there but trust me, there was not much meat.

Burritos are getting smaller here especiallyvfor $9.99 AND being in San Diego County.if you can drive here, you can drive a lil further n hit up Castañedas.more burrito for your buck ‍️ asi es

Always got the fries there with extra sour cream.love it but the girl who used to or still works there is slow ash under pressure but it's great food and made with love

My favorite Mexican food in town. I've been going to this place since I was in highschool down the street and the food has always been super good.

The food was amazing! The California burrito, top notch! But the facilities left a little something to be desired. And the napkins? Not quite up to the task of cleaning up after such a juicy burrito. They kind of made things worse…

Prices are up there and the food isn't all there. Rice was definitely from yesterday all hard and cold what kinda Guacamole is this is not even green hot sauce gave me heart burn all day that's a first any who I would not recommend it but suit your self. Orchata was really good surprisingly.
