Cotija's Taco Shop reviews

I ordered over $50 of food to go and I asked the cashier for a little bag to take some of the pickled carrots from the salsa bar and he answered that I had to pay for the carrots ($3) because my food was to go, I could only get for free if I was to eat there, really? There were other customers with the same problem and they just didn't want to give us what we asked for, then they treat customers as of they are doing us a favor for serving us, RIDICULOUS!
The lady at the front counter called me a "Mayate" which means "N.r" in Spanish. Zero stars. I guess she thought I don't speak Spanish. SMH.
The place is old and if you don't go inside you can't tell how dirty it looks. I was reticent to eat the food. If you are coaxed to walk in by some one from inside.they repay your cooperation by ignoring you inside and you'll end up getting getting your own food from the cook. The counter people are awful.
The man on the drive thru asked me twice if I'd like rice and beans or fries, I said rice and beans both times and still ended up getting fries.
My go to taco shop when working in San Diego. Fast and quality drive through. Late hours helps too.
Cashier can use some costumer service training; she does not look at you while you are talking to her and she drop my order in the counter like it was nothing. Not the first time this happen to us. Food its decent but she made us just don’t wanna go back anymore.
I went in to get some tacos through the drive thru, when I was abruptly interrupted by the lady on the speaker telling me she couldn’t hear me. I was not happy with the tone she was speaking to me so I told her “ thanks for your patience” before heading to the window so she can hear me better. When I got to the window she proceeds to tell me in an almost yelling voice how she isn’t being mean and how she needs to hear me so she can get my order right. So I tell her that’s she’s right but the way she’s telling me isn’t correct. She starts saying how that’s just how she talks which obviously wasn’t true as she was yelling in a very rude tone. So I left. I am honestly very disappointed in their customer service and this was a very bad experience for me.
With so many Mexican Food restaurants on every corner, wasn't sure what to expect. SURPRISINGLY delicious food, and pretty quick!
Customer Service could really use a tweek, but one of my family's favorite Mexican food places overall
New favorite dish here is carnitas and shrimp taco. But all their food is good. Really like the new look recently remodeled the eating area. A must try!
This place was okay. It was clean and they have a great salsa bar. I ordered enchiladas and a tostada. The tostada was delicious, but the enchilada was meh. The sauce they use is pretty sweet and it drowned the enchiladas so much that I couldn’t find them. My husband had a carne asada burrito. He said it was good but the meat was pretty hard and tough to chew: it made his jaw hurt! We also waited a pretty long time just to have our order taken (we were the only ones there). I’d go back for the beans tho, they were delicious!
I ordered 2 shrimp burritos and received 2 carnitas burritos. Cojitas great shrimp burritos is why i drove 30 mins for food. I am not happy.
I never give out one star reviews but this place earned it fair and square.
Sat at the drive thru order area for 15 mins at 8 am with no other customers at the place. Guy inside just randomly looked out at me yet never said hi, how can I help you or took my order.
They clearly knew I was there yet just let me sit there. Pretty awful service.
I can't even comment on the food as I drove away after wasting my time and I gave them plenty of opportunity.
No one ever acknowledged me even being there besides the guy that looked out at me several times as I pulled back and forth to ensure I triggered the notification I was there. Avoid this place.
Great customer service. The inside is very nice and clean. The burritos were tasty and good size for the price. Drive thru is available. Small salsa bar inside dining area.
