Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic reviews
20The doctor that came out to examine our horse was very professional and thorough. She showed compassion for our older horse and had good bed side manner. The office followed up with me and helped answer all of the questions I had. Would recommend them.
Thank you for the fine service, I was out on a fire, you came as promised, gelding our colt with my family, all went well, I didn’t have to worry, couldn’t ask for better care of our farm animals. Thank you
This Vet was amazing and helped us on short notice with all if our needs. They are professional and courtesy and full if information.
I definitely recommend Dr. Steve as an equine vet! He has helped me with a couple lameness issues, a couple ultrasounds/reproduction visits, & a pre-purchase exam.
For the lameness issues.he saw the problem quickly, had a remedy, answered all my questions, & didn't charge an arm & leg! I really appreciated the last part!
He is helpful and knowledgeable with reproduction/bleeding.
I appreciate his sense of humor too!
I called and asked how much it was going to cost for the procedure, and it was more than what they quoted me.
Woman behind counter was so loud I backed away and covered an ear. She said’ “we need your rabies docs to see vet”. I understand but this is a first thus I didn’t have docs on me. My pet received rabies vaccination on east coast; they were closed. Vet called me from out of state btw but it was too late, I had already been turned away. They wanted to charge $700 for the visit. I agreed to pay for rabies again despite current rabies vaccination expiring in 2024. Because I asked her to allow me to complete a sentence, she became more combative. She kept interrupting me, she said I was rude, and turned me away. In shock, I said, “omgoodness” and walked away. She was so mean and tried gaslighting me saying I was the problem: 0 (I said, “it’s not about you or me, it’s about my pet”. She didn’t like anyone “talking back” to her. She enjoyed folding up my application and turning away from me. I have no ego when it comes to my pet; he needed care and was denied because she was having a bad day and took it out on me. I didn’t raise my voice, didn’t use condescension, didn’t interrupt her, didn’t call her a snarky “sweetie”, or have a tone with her. She was awful but I will try not to let her impact the rest of my day. Thank God I didn’t leave her alone with my pet; someone who gets that irritated shouldn’t be handling anyone’s fur baby.
Long wait time to see Vet but excellent care. Vet took time with the dog and answering questions. Support and office staff were really helpful.
Thank you to everyone there. It was also a very clean environment.
We can't say enough good things about this vet clinic! We are from out of town and were visiting the area when our dachshund had a medical issue that required urgent care. Yes, it was a long wait to see a doctor as a walk-in but there isn't even anyone around that offers this service at a reasonable price. The staff was excellent, but the true stand-out were the doctors, Dr. Martin and Dr. Terra. They were so caring and spent a lot of time assessing our dog and answering our questions. We never felt rushed. We highly recommend this clinic!
Very professional. I am so glad there are still veterinarians that make house calls. Dr Gina was very helpful and caring. Prices are very good. Thank you
Too expensive for them to make a farm call and not actually do an examination and be on the phone the entire time they are here.
I was very appreciative of them for accepting me as a new client w/o appointment and so late in day. And very pleased with the attention, treatment and care they gave my mare. Thank you!
They squeezed me in and came and looked at my horse when she hurt her leg I'm very thankful for that no one else was able to come out but they did thank you for your help
Friendly staff and the doctor was amazing with my husband's cat Charlie. Definitely gonna be seeing them in the future if needed. Well worth the drive to an from Redding to be seen here.
They were fantastic! They took excellent care of our dog. We will absolutely take our dog back when it's needed.
Staff was awesome and very nice took care of my horse and suggested what she been done and what should be on a different visit will definitely return
We live in Orem and this is the place we bring our Pets. Perhaps it's because they are located in a more affluent area that is more likely to have pets that are treated as members of the household, I don't know. I do know that while things can seem a bit busy and perfunctory at times, they have staff and doctors that care. We brought our recent Affenpinscher puppy purchase to get his first checkout. He'll never know another place. The doctor we had was enthralled with his personality and asked to make sure we come to him in the future.
We brought our previous rescue rat terrier here for 15 years, and our Golden Lab here at the end of her life when we wanted a vet we preferred over our local options. We've been coming for a long time.
We brought our cats over the years. We even had an Abyssinian that had to have an eye removed and ear amputated because of cancer. They've been great with all of them. They may not be the cheapest option around town, but the prices are fair for what they provide.
Professional, explained everything well, answered all our questions. We will return for our equine care.
After regular vet service vacated the area finding a replacement to come to a very rural are was difficult. After much searching and contacting with other options found Cottonwood was willing to make the trek. By getting several others to seek service on same visit was able to make the farm call affordable. Was able to get service within about 10 days of original contact with office. The requirement of a deposit or credit card info prior to scheduling some other members of the area to get service on the same visit put off some other folks. Other vets used in past have the ability to charge credit card or accept cash at time of service. Giving the responding vet this ability would greatly enhance the professionalism of the practice.
The responding persons were with in the appointment time, efficient, helpful in answering questions, being considerate and accommodating of the individual horses nature. They took the time necessary to accomplish the mission without attitude. This review covers the request put forth for the 4 animals attended to for this evaluation visit.
We are so happy with the excellent service we receive at Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic each time we come! We have a mini pig and several goats that have visited the clinic. We are greeted at the front desk with a smile by Kayla who is always so helpful on the phone and in person. Dr. Martin is working with us to figure out why our Nigerian Dwarf is coughing. He really takes the time to listen to us and answer all our questions, as he advises us on our options. We have many other clinic choices that are closer to our home, but we choose to drive to Cottonwood for the expert care that our animals receive there!
The friendliness, expertise and quality of care for my horse and me were outstanding, and I could not be more pleased!
