Cougar Vineyard and Winery reviews
4 A group of girls and I made lunch reservations for our friend’s bachelorette weekend here and it was such a lovely experience! I would highly recommend taking a look at their deli menu, the caprese salad is always a fresh to-go-to appetizer. The bruschetta and charcuterie are great shareables as well. Sandwiches come with either chips or salad, and the portions are great for the value.
I recommend making reservations for a large party and paying for your food in advance. We got our food within minutes of us being seated. Shoutout to the amazing servers who also assisted us with their tasting service! Eat outside, the view is so nice!
The bubbly was yummy and a nice outdoor covered patio, which is dog friendly. Staff was very friendly and they have a deli too. We really liked it because it wasn’t part of the over crowded touristy places. It was quiet and peaceful.
We ordered two appetizers because we know (as members) that their pizzas are slow to get from the kitchen to the table. We even checked with the server regarding the time for pizzas before ordering appetizers. However, the pizzas were delivered first (after the usual long wait). My friend asked about canceling the appetizers since they didn't make it to the table before the main food. The server pushed them on us, saying that she could see them on the counter but that staff had been too busy to deliver the to us. I lacked the courage to say a firm no to the appetizers. The situation was awkward bc I had guests at the table. Cougar's food is tasty. We have allowed for challenging service and cooking delays due to the fallout from Covid, but I am growing weary. P. S. We had reservations. We ordered food at about 2 pm.
The 2 of us arrived early for lunch at 1130. The line was short but slow to order at the deli. More than half the tables were empty, but we were asked to sit in a couple of chairs with no shade and no table because we didn’t have a reservation. We moved to the shade while we waited for our food, and felt so mistreated, we took it to go. Won’t go there again.
