Very meh. A courtyard Marriott should be better. The whole building smells like mildew and there was a huge wet patch on the carpet in our room, probably from a leaking AC. The elevator is slow and had a long line. No extra building entrances so everything gets kinda jammed up. Parking costs $25 unless you can find street parking. Staff was fine and had no issues but not particularly friendly. Pillows aren’t good. No free breakfast. Too expensive for what you’re getting.

The nice part is that it’s within walking distance of many restaurants in Old Town.

Clean, quiet room near the airport and the food of Old Town.

Parking on site

Easy on and off the freeway.

This is a very nice property. Rooms were well appointed with comfortable beds, mini fridge, coffee maker, and large TV. There are plenty of outlets all around the room. The bathroom was large and functional with good lighting. Soap dispensers are mounted in the shower rather than single use bottles.

The convention space was larger than expected given the size of the hotel. It easily fit a large group which booked up the hotel. Meals catered for the convention were good.

The lobby has a nice seating area, candy and water is left out for guests, and there is an outdoor patio space. Staff were friendly and efficient. There is a bar and small restaurant in the lobby too. A small but nice outdoor pool and hot tub are available year round. There is also a small fitness center with a few treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and dumbbells.

Location is everything with many restaurants, bars, and shops within blocks. A six block walk away is the cold Town transit center with trollies (lightrail) to downtown, UCSD, SDSU, malls, and the San Ysidro border crossing. There are also nodes to various points of interest like Seaworld and beaches, as well as trains up the coast as far as LA and Santa Barbara.

Overall I was very happy and would stay here again.

Great location because it is convenient to many good restaurants and the Old Town park. Although it was a slight uphill walk for several blocks. Shops are nearby. Breakfast was good with ala carte options available. Service was efficient and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.

It's just a 2 minute walk to the best of Old Town. Rooms are clean and beds among the most comfortable ever!
Easy access from I-5 with two gas stations close by.
The bar/restaurant food is good if you feel like staying in and watching sports on the big screen tv's. The convenience store has snacks, drinks, microwave food, and beer and wine to keep you satisfied. It also has personal items you may have forgotten.
The staff are friendly and check-in a breeze. There's always free ice-cold flavored water in the lobby if you need a quick sip.

Television volume wouldn't turn down so couldn't watch television went 2 the front desk & was told that it wasn't no one there that could look @ the problem. Socket in bathroom didn't work. & the light fixture when you 1st walk in the room didn't work.

Convenient to airport. Building is very long past its prime. Expensive parking and breakfast. Not any better than Marriot business hotel with free breakfast one block away - not sure what the business proposition is here. Won't repeat this choice.

I’ve been to a few NFB conferences in different states, but I’ve never witnessed a hotel staff as kind and considerate as the staff here. Especially Kelly, she has worked so hard and has been the kindest yet the most hard-working professional I have ever witnessed in the hospitality industry.

The NFB definitely has picked the right place for its 2022 convention. I’ve also never witnessed such a great leader with her staff. I just talked to Kelly to give her a complement about the great work she was doing and the first thing she did was say it was because of her staff.

Five star staff & location, three star facilities.

The location is great if you're in town for business or pleasure.

Facilities are good, but dated. Comfy bed, decent shower pressure.

Bistro is excellent and worth checking out.

Superb restaurants are within walking distance, as is the trolley.

Decent hotel. Parking was a pain because of the narrow stalls. Location was nice and fairly close to the tourist area.

Like cockroaches and soiled sheets in your hotel room, and staff that really doesn't seem to care? Booked this hotel last month for our family group to attend my niece's wedding. Terrible experience from the start from bad check-in experiences, staff that didn't seem to care, killing cockroaches that were crawling out of the tub in the middle of the night, filthy soiled sheets and disgusting mattress on pull out couch. This caused much stress for our trip and ruined a good portion of it. Management was unresponsive and I had to keep calling and emailing for several days. I finally received a call back and was told they would add points to my Marriott account because of my experience. They added only 10K points; if you are a Marriott member you know you cannot do anything with only 10K points. At least the wedding was nice.

Where do I begin? Let'a start with arriving later a night/early morning and being handed a key to a room you reserved months prior. Only to find out "bait and switch" occurred they gave me a double queen instead of a King bed for my husband and I stay! They tried to compensate me with "snacks" for an over price room and mediocre accommodations. Nice staff well a few people! Kelli the manager told me I could change rooms now but I need to change at that moment after telling her about the mishap but we had reservations and a scheduled ride. When I returned to the hotel there were no additional rooms available. So we stayed another night with no point of changing the next day since we were leaving the next day early AM 3am. Oh it gets better Kelli never called about making up for their mishaps after verifying my email and number. I had to go to an office where a very rude lady stood to ask for her. You guessed right she was gone for the day thankfullyI went in! I wanted no surprises checking out! The lady said "oh no they cant give a discount because your reservation isnt a guarantee its a hope you would get that room. " How can you not give me what I pay for or at least explain we're sold out and I will give you this room tonight and come in early morning to switch to the correct room. I went back to the creepy annex building (subpar) to the room I didn't reserve awaiting her call because "she"
Had to call Kelli! I'm glad Nadia (cannot remember if thats correct)! And Jessica were amazing the night before and offered accommodations beyond snacks and notated the system! The mean rep had to call back and tell me I was in fact receiving $200 and said "Kelli said that is absolutely it" which is rude and a managerial language nightmare! But that night after returning (thankful it happened last night of the trip) 2 huge roaches appear in the bathroom! Disgusting and distasteful! I called and spoke to shift manager and will alert corporate! Please believe the prior review about roaches! Over priced, outdated, and insensitive staff well not all, a few are exempted!

The only 2 or 3 star hotel around SD old town area without offering the complimentary breakfast. It’s really awful.

Marisol (hoping I spelled her name right) at the cafe area is a gem / she’s so sweet, efficient and friendly - I hope everyone gets the pleasure of her charismatic attitude! This place was so clean and wonderful during my stay - parking was a little expensive but overall great location and a fabulous staff!
