Courtyard by Marriott San Jose Campbell reviews
18Good hotel with nice staff. The WORST basic internet. Makes doing business work very difficult.
Jonathan the front desk clerk/representative was awesome. He displaced great customer service. He was friendly, kind and he went above and beyond to help assist me during my stay. I would definitely recommend my friends from Florida to come to the Courtyard Marriott in San Jose.
Thank

When I checked into the room, I asked for the AAA or AARP discount and was informed they only allowed so many rooms with discount and none were available. In addition when I stayed there before in 2018 parking in the garage was free. At no time in discussing the rates or booking the room was it mentioned that parking was an additional fee. My bad that I did not read the form given to me to put in my vehicle, but what were my options since there is no other parking at the hotel.
The rooms were comfortable and clean. The customer service was excellent. My husband and I were traveling for his 75th birthday. I'm so glad we chose this hotel for part of our stay. We were treated extremely well and a big shout out to Jorge, Natalia, and Ray!
Filthy carpet! After 4 hours of my grandson walking barefoot this is how his feet looked from the filthy carpet in our room. When I approached the manager on duty she did not apologize or seem surprised. She only said it was a room that was used often. We will not use this Marriott again.
Four stars. Due to the noise from the freeway. Other than that it was a great stay. Customer service was too notch.
Tidy, fresh, very neat gym and great service. I had mistakenly booked for another Courtyard and Ray at the front desk got me the same price here and then took care of cancelling my other reservation. Loved it
Good rooms, fair location near the Prune Yard amenities. Proximity to freeway is not an issue. Pool nice but overlooked. Friendly and helpful staff. Doors to rooms tend to slam shut, not great late at night or when Jetlagged. Biggest downside is the 'bar' - terrible breakfast, terrible dinner, terrible coffee (only the decaf is any good!), beer expensive but fine.
Let's start with location, conveniently located near in Campbell and Silicon Valley. Price was expensive, $220 a night, even after my military discount. Hotel check in was incredibly slow, 8-10 guests checking in, and only one, friendly/polite, staff working check in. After 25 minutes, finally our turn. As we get to the room, it a modern but shows wear and tear. Ice maker broken on 4th Floor, and no joke, the towels are thinner and crunchier then the ones I use to wash my car. Horrible. Ugh.: (
Here for four days and three nights. And during our stay, not one time, was our room cleaned or re-stocked. On the morning of day three, about 9: 00am'ish, I stopped by the desk and specifically asked to have room cleaned etc.get back that night about 8: 00pm'ish, and the room was as we left it. Room service was MIA.
Went to lobby to inquire, again waited, thankfully only 7-8 minutes this time, but they had no answer as to why room has not been cleaned, etc, Front staff check in wen tans got her manager, Lana, who's only response was, "We'll check into this in the morning, " left me with that. This is your pathetic attempt to solve your customer service problem!? !
So I say. Lana.you can check your one star Yelp review in the morning too!
I have been here multiple times.have. I'd say, because there will be no future stays. You have chosen to lose my business. Nighty nite!
My parents arrived at this Marriott today, exhausted from traveling and had a dismally bad customer service and check in experience.
The bathroom was dirty - the sink was covered in black stuff, obviously not clean - so my politely parents asked for housekeeping to come and clean it. When housekeeping scrubbed the sink, my parents were HORRIFIED to see that they used the TOILET BRUSH to clean the SINK. And they didn’t even get it clean - just smeared the black stuff around.
What are they doing to your room when you’re not looking?
When my parents called the front desk, the manager did NOT think this was a valid complaint and dismissed their concerns - dismissing my parents with half-hearted service.
Then when my parents went back to the room to rest, they discovered that their room (#414) ’s adjacent room was undergoing repairs, with LOUD tool noises, and constant banging of the door opening and closing while my parents were trying to rest. To the other side of their room was the staircase and the door opening and slamming constantly too. When booking the room, my parents specifically requested a “quiet” room in order to avoid similar situations - obviously the booking staff ignored this request.
Finally, when my parents mentioned the noise to the manager, asking for the hotel staff to keep the noise down, the manager said “if you don’t like the room, you can check out. ”
WOW - what happened to customer service? Or are they treating them particularly poorly? Taking advantage of people? I thought MARRIOTT had a brand focused on quality - which is why we book with Marriott and are long-time members. I guess we will NOT be looking forward to future Marriott bookings.
DIDN'T SEE ANY OF THIS UNTIL THE MORNING. ANTS IN THE BATH ROOM AND ONE OF THE QUEEN BEDS. LUCKILY I slept in the other bed.roll of toilet paper put back on the holder after it was dropped in some kind of liquid. I have stayed here on an off.not what I have come to expect from MARRIOTT.
Rooms are a little small but cleanand efficient. Shower is weird. Staff was fun and friendly. Good location for us relative to Los Gatos.
Currently staying at this hotel as I write this review. So disappointed with the cleanliness and service at this hotel. Windows are dirty. The couch that you sit to relax and watch TV is filthy with pieces of food all over it. I asked at the front desk for housekeeping to clean it for me… housekeeping came over made the bed and the pieces of food are still there in the couch when I came back at the end of the day to relax in my room. Disgusting!
Sometimes Marriott Rewards just suck. I feel like they give you the crappiest rooms, does anyone else feel this way? Anyway the staff here is lovely though and the rooms are your standard nice Marriott room. Great location so close to the Pruneyard with many great restaurants.
Recently stayed for a week at the Courtyard Marriott in Campbell while in the process of relocating for work. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was very clean, significantly cleaner than any other hotel I encountered in the week prior while driving cross country. And it's walking distance, <1 mile, to the Pruneyard.
Room is big, bed comfortable. The breakfast is terrible. $12 for a frozen egg and bacon sandwich, microwaved until the edges are hard. I am very disappointed in Marriott allowing their standard to fall so far
The staff, particularly Kristyn, was really friendly and helpful! And I really appreciated how clean and modern the hotel was. The location was great - it was a short drive to and from San Jose airport, and I loved that the Pruneyard Shopping Center - with Trader Joe's and other interesting restaurants and shops - was walking distance away.
Bed had wrappers and a straw under the sheets. Took all the coverings off to get anything else out but still felt more comfortable on the couch to sleep instead.
