Dr. Stephanie Stanley is great! She performed soft tissue mobilization therapy on my shoulder pain and back pain and thigh pain during the last 7 weeks. My shoulder pain was relieved more than 50% immediately after the 1st therapy. After the 2nd therapy, my shoulder pain was relieved more than 70%. After 6th therapy, my shoulder pain was relieved more than 88%. My range of motion of the shoulder was improved 75% after her soft tissue mobilization therapy. Mr. Joseph Tran is also great in soft tissue mobilization therapy on my shoulder pain too. In addition, my back pain and thigh pain are relieved more than 85 % after the therapy. She is very nice, courteous with great attitude. I highly recommend her for my physical therapy!

Saw therapist "SDG" and was interviewed about my current injury (plantar fasciitis) but I also specifically mentioned a different prior serious injury (torn meniscus) that required surgery. I also explained that because of my foot issue I felt I had moderately re-injured my knee.

After the intake interview the therapist massaged my foot and then, inexplicably and quite incredibly, grabbed my foot with both of his hands and tugged on my leg- HARD! - 3 times in quick succession. The hard tugging didn't bother me too much at the moment but the next morning I could not bear any weight on my leg due to the intense pain in my knee caused by "SDG" yanking on my leg. Even my hip joint was sore- that's how hard he pulled my leg.

It's now been months since that first visit (I never returned) and my knee is still sore. Way more sore than the morning I arrived at Coury & Buehler. I even purchased a cane because my knee now constantly feels like it's going to unexpectedly buckle/fail and I'm going to fall.

If you select Court & Buehler for physical therapy make ABSOLUTELY certain that your therapist has read and acknowledges Coury & Buehler's OWN document- Consent to Treatment & Therapeutic Procedures, bullet point #3- "I understand that I will be explained the purpose of the therapeutic procedures prior to receiving treatment and that I may refuse any therapeutic procedure or treatment at any time. "

You will be required to sign this document before treatment. Maybe Coury & Buehler's therapists should be required to sign it too.

Therapist "SDG" simply failed to abide by Coury & Buehler's own policy and now I'm suffering the consequences of his failure.

Do your research- there are resources for excellent physical therapy in Irvine. The purpose of physical therapy is to make the patient feel better so on this count Coury & Buehler failed spectacularly and actually left me worse off than I was.

I have addressed this matter with the Physical Therapy Board of California.

The only reason I come here is because of Libby. She is very thorough and works those kinks out of the muscle and tissues so you can achieve your mobility back. She is the best.

My therapist Kevin was very helpful in my recovery from total knee replacement. He work on my range of motion and strengthening. What puts him above other therapists I've had is his knowledge and use of new techniques to give me additional tools I could use on my own. He was able to answer all my questions.

Go to this place if you want to actually see results! I’ve had back problems for the last 5 years and have seen numerous physical therapists and didn’t get anywhere with them. First appointment with Laura she was able to tell me exactly what was going on and how to fix it. I saw huge improvement within two weeks! They really care about you at Coury & Buehler, they get you in so they can fix you and get you out. They won’t give you a half effort job just so you can keep coming back and pay them. They’re results driven and I don’t trust anyone else with my back PT now. Keep it up guys! Laura is such a God send

This place is great! Easy to find, beautiful office, safe and easy to follow COVID protocols, and amazing staff. I just started coming here due to an injury I have and the people make it so comfortable to start working on recovery. Everyone there is incredibly pleasant, but I want to give a special shoutout to Shannon, Gillian, & Sean. I put off physical therapy out of fear of pain, being judged, and just the overall atmosphere, but I wish I had known how great this place is. I would not have waited, and you shouldn't either. Great place with great people doing great work. Thank you all for everything.

Going to C&B Irvine and the treatment I received from their therapist (Daniel Burke) for my core muscle injury rehab is the biggest regret of my life. I came in with a strain and now have a permanent nerve injury from an inappropriate and aggressive manual therapy, which was not appropriate based on my prior medical history. After 6+ month I am in chronic pain and will be for the rest of my life based on post image findings. The therapist was not attentive to my prior medical history, lacked peripheral nerve anatomical knowledge, and performed inappropriate aggressive skin to skin manual therapy on my lower abdominal muscle resulting in a traumatic compression of an important nerve where I had a prior hernia repair with an implant. The manual therapy was painful and my symptoms progressively got worse after each session and I started to have pain I didn't have prior. Don't be mislead into letting a pt tell you pain is acceptable during treatment. Pt should not be painful. Avoid this PT.
