Cove House, La Jolla CA

Sat outside on this lovely day, had some shade. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great. The food portions are good but not overly large. You won't be hungry or over stuffed. I love the variety of fun non alcoholic drinks.

Stopped in after brunch for a few drinks and a small plate. Atmosphere and service were top notch! Would visit again!

If you are wondering whether you should come here for brunch, let me make your life easy — definitely come.

Food was good, got the chilaquiles and the french toast. A bit overpriced for the portions.
The place is cold, no heating and can get pretty chilly in winter.

Breakfast at the cove house after visiting La Jalla Cove. The chilaquilas were absolutely fantastic!

Delicious fish tacos and excellent ceviche! Quaint little cafe with a view of the ocean. And our server Nancy was the best!

There are many options for brunch in the area. I'm VERY glad I chose Cove House. The Crab Benny was incredible. Coffee is really good and the view is gorgeous.

Great spot to enjoy breakfast/brunch with (distant) views of the Pacific. Food was tasty, if a tad expensive. Service was good and unrushed.

After devouring the French toast my five year old son said “ this is the restaurant of my dreams and today they came true. ”

This is a restaurant that knows exactly what it is. A fun shabby chic place next to the beach with a small but upscale menu and pretty views. It has both single seats and table seats available for people watching. Indoor and outdoor.

The menu had a lot of good stuff and while expensive you are in La Jolla. You get what you get.

Husband got the plain eggs benedict and I got the crab blat. My bread was made with fresh rosemary sourdough and heirloom tomatoes and the crab was okay. It all came together very nicely. I got to people watch and enjoy some seagulls cruising for crumbs.

I got an Irish coffee and boy was it strong. Made it easier to get refresher top offs of coffee which was offered at least twice. It was only a quick lunch but we got checked up on several times to make sure everything was good and there were TVs showing various sports games and some light cheerful music in the background.

I would absolutely go back again

100% on the positive vibes, this place is beautiful, the barman is on it, super busy recommended to wait, ceviche was great.get the nachos out and replace them for pita or bread to be top, The chimichurri steak was actually really good.mid red was mid red.flavor was good.avocado toast was juat an avocado toast.but wasn't overpriced, so it is what it is. Overall, it's literally a straight 5 or. A 4.9 to give the opportunity of improvement. Get more menus.tourist like to keep them when eating.just saying.

Just went here yesterday and although I love this place (great burger and waffle fries), the shrimp dish my girlfriend got was too small and had maybe four or five small shrimp. If you don't have enough shrimp, 86 it and move on. Don't skimp! Also, the sauce tasted different than the other times we've come. Honestly we should have sent it back. GF says she's not going to order that again, which is a bummer because it was her favorite dish there.
