18 Covenant Church in San Diego shines as a beacon for both the neighbors of North Park and surrounding areas. Its welcoming atmosphere fosters a God-centered community where fellowship and spiritual growth thrive. Attendees can expect a nurturing environment that supports family values and individual faith journeys alike. Covenant is a wonderful place to connect with faith and community. The church has been an absolute blessing for our family and we encourage you to come check it out!
Hebrews 10: 24
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together…”
I was going to covenant about 15 year ago, and now retuned the lord brought me back. Been coming for about 4 months, I’m being feed spiritually and enjoy the fellowship. Join us!
I moved here with my wife for our next Navy duty station and we really lucked out finding this church! Everyone is so kind and welcoming. I heard many stories of people “chruch shopping” and ultimately end up here at Covenant.
The sermons are always relative and help me understand the scripture better.
Music is great. Such a wonderful atmosphere all around. The church leadership is appreciative of any and all involvement one wants to contribute. Happy to be apart of this loving church family!
We found Covenant when we moved to San Diego earlier this year and never looked back. Covenant has a friendly, diverse community of people of all ages and an excellent child care program for families. The congregation is very welcoming and is active in both community service & worship. The music is fantastic too!
I look forward to Covenant Church services all week! I know that when Sunday comes, I will receive a warm welcome by the friendliest congregation I have ever encountered, love singing with the great worship team…. And then have the huge gift of listening to Senior Pastor Patrick King present a Bible centered sermon. He always speaks the truths of Jesus in a way that enhances every aspect of my life. A bonus for me has been the ongoing Women;s Bible studies that are held weekly and led by Pastor Kennerly King. This church has provided me with a true FAMILY of believers and a better understanding of God, the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I am SO blessed to have found this wonderful place to worship.
Covenant has been my family’s home church for 7 years now. We appreciate the community of young families that have come alongside us in parenthood, the intentionality and leadership of our pastors, and their desire to not only support and serve with local non-profits and missionaries but missionaries around the world.
I've been attending Covenant for 5 years. It is a very welcoming church with great programs and sermons. After a pastor at another church who knew me, forgot my name, I was super impressed and felt so good when Patrick (the lead pastor) remembered my name on my second visit. Definitely a great church to check out for people in any phase of life.
I visited Covenant since it is in my neighborhood and I've been going here for almost three years now. The parishioners make a conscious effort to greet newcomers and make them feel welcome, which is why I kept coming back. The sanctuary is nice and intimate, and provides the opportunity to connect with people. I really appreciate Pastor Patrick King's ability to connect the Church with modern issues and concerns, and his open mindedness is very refreshing! Covenant is a wonderful place for long-time Christians and new believers alike.
Covenant has been our home church for the past 4 years. Since our first visit, we’ve been warmly welcomed and cared for. The teaching is sound and convicting. It has a vibrant, multi-generational congregation. On a Sunday morning it is filled with bouncing kids and welcoming “grandparents. ” We also love that the church has many military families to connect with.
Covenant Church is a place where the Bible is preach and discipleship is practiced. We are connected with a community group which has been a great way to get to know people and be known. In addition to community groups, there is time and space for connection people after the Sunday service when snacks are provided for the children and adults. The church is involved in sharing God's love and being the hands and feet of Jesus in the neighborhood and around the world. That is why we choose to be a part of this church.
The people at Covenant have been incredible at welcoming me and my kids! Their warmth and care is very evident. Love the preaching and music
We spent time looking for a church when we moved to San Diego 18 months ago and the informative Covenant website got us in the door. We joined as members a few months later. Rev. Patrick King's messages, uplifting music, work with local and international missions, and support of small groups make it a place we want to be a part of. The congregation is very age diverse with a lot of young families. After being in two dying churches before this, it's a breath of fresh air. Patrick's messages always send us off with something to chew on for the week, often with the feeling it was "just of me". He sermons are well thought out and structured bringing complex topics across in engaging and understandable terms without dumbing it down. The service's music mixes modern songs and updated versions of classical hymns. Several retired clergy attend here. A military chaplain comes here when he's not on duty. This was high praise to me.
Covenant is a church with warm, caring people, solid biblical teaching, and a heart for the neighborhood and the world.
We have found a home at Covenant - the worship, teaching, and community all come together into a warm and welcoming family.
As young married couple recently out of college, Covenant has been a solid community of support for us to grow and be discipled. It is not a self-help or a health and wealth lecture, but a place to be renewed by Gospel.
I experienced Covenant Church in North Park as a welcoming Household of Faith. The worship and preaching are centered in Jesus Christ and rooted deeply in God's word. The church blends compassion and conviction in a down-to-earth practical and personal way.
Moved to San Diego a year and a half ago and immediately found Covenant church. We never looked back! At Covenant we have found a Christ centered, Bible teaching, caring community. It's rare to find a congregation that is so solid in biblical teaching and community outreach/care as well. We are truly thankful to call Covenant our church home!
Covenant is such a welcoming community! Within my first couple of weeks I was already getting invited to lunches and dinners with members of the congregation. Patrick is such a humble leader and is a breath of fresh air for the church.
