Crane Creek Regional Park reviews
17Absolutely love walking around Crane Creek. There's a nice variety of trails with opportunities to see birds of prey or some cows. It's not a difficult area to walk, although some of the trails can be a little mushy after it rains. You're sharing the area with frisbee players. There are picnic tables for eating at as well.
Awesome park with many different walking or hiking trails. Such a little gem in Sonoma county that I love to frequent often. Great for the dog or little kid. They also have frisbee golf courses.
I love taking my dog there. It's my sanctuary. However, be aware, especially during the summer months, there are barely any trees, which equates to a very few shaded areas. Also, there is a disc golf course located on the premises, but I'm not sure if and when it's operational.
Lovely park for a walk. Lots of birds and some nice benches to enjoy the sights. Not much shade on the paths, so use sunscreen.
Great place for a walk/hike. My dog loves to get his exercise there (on a leash) and we both enjoy the spectacular views.
Great disc golf course for a quick round. Starts with roll away potential and trees in the first half before opening up on the back 9 for easy approach shots
A beautiful open space that is really at it's best in spring with the wildflowers in bloom. The California poppies are gorgeous. There is also a disc golf course here that I'm looking forward to trying. Be warned that there is a parking fee here. $7 when I visited.
This park is gorgeous around sunset. The lighting is picture perfect and even when crowded the layout provides ample space to roam, hike and take in the beautiful views. Trails are family friendly and well maintained with easily accessed bathrooms.
Highly recommended visiting this park.
Nice trails to stroll, noticed dog waste trash bags that people left through out the park. Might be a good idea if the rec department had a few trash cans on the back side the park to encourage people to throw away their waste
Beautiful live oaks and fun for the family. Nature really shines here.numerous walking trails from hard to one I was able to walk up a hill and rest under the tree, even with a broken back! Going back tomorrow!
Amazing views! Trails for all types from horses to bikes to some wheelchair accessibility.truly a gem in this area.shhh.don't tell anyone on you-tube.
Great for a 30-60 min hike with young kids (3-8 range) who can hike 1-3 miles. It's mostly flat.
It's also a cattle grazing areas so we ran into some cows.
If you're into disc golf, the park has a disc golf course.
Excellent topography for a great sunset view (there's even a trail designated for it!). Not a huge park by any means, but there's a couple fairly short trails, a disc golf course, restrooms (no running water), and a decent sized parking lot. I stopped in about an hour before sunset and had plenty of time to find a great spot. Also, be kind to the cows that roam the park!
Beautiful park with lots of easy to walk trails and great views. Only downside is not enough parking, but if you're patient a spot will open up in a matter of minutes.
An early morning walk through Crane Creek Regional Park is usually serene, with the morning light, the fog rolling through the hills and the birds starting their day singing. There are a few rolling hills, but nothing too strenuous. Lots of interesting oak trees. I was able to capture a Red-tailed hawk taking flight.
A hidden gem here. Just off the beaten path and over the hill this park sports one of the best disc golf courses in the county. Long wide open holes with a great view of the Rohnert Park Valley. The trails go for miles into a smaller canyon into some wooded oak and madrone areas. Uber hot in the summer so bring water because there's nothing else out here.
This used to be my go-to park to ride my mountain bike. It's a fun short loop and you can incorporate a fun little downhill run.
Since COVID however, the park has been excessively full. The parking lot always seems to be packed, to the point where people are parking on the street. Doesn't seem that safe if there are that many people there, so I won't be visiting this park for a while.
