Used to love this restaurant! It doesn’t seem like the ownership change has been for the better.
Food is pretty expensive for what you get, both in quality and portion size. Doesn’t appear to be the freshest ingredients.

Love this place! My parents live nearby, but it's a fun tradition to all go together after we get our Christmas trees locally in the area! Yummy food, cute atmosphere and great service!

9.17.23. New owner. Very nice! I didn't love the first wine, so the owner came up and assured it was fresh as I wasn't 100% due to the taste. She gave me half off and even reduced a bottle of wine for us that we were inquiring about. I just liked how she personally came up and handled things. Only personal downfall for me was no veggie substitute burgers like before. Other than that, I still maintain my 5 star reviews.

Had breakfast and dinner it was awesome the home made potatoes were yummy. Love both the mild and hot home made sauce.

06/17/2023 Update: Things have changed a bit. New owners. And the menu had changed. There are some items that are no longer available, like Salmon. And they have added Mexican menu alongside some of the older items. The staff are very friendly. Even though they now have shrimp, I still wish they had salmon. And I wish they had vegetarian beans, refried or black.

They have been great during our shelter in place time. And they have been very accommodating to my families unique dietary requirements. And the food is delicious!

Just wanted people to know, the restaurant changed hands in December 2022, and the entrees and celebration fries are NOT THE SAME. They also added Mexican food to the menu. Our party of 4 all had burgers, which were pretty good, but we were all kind of disappointed that our favorite side dish had changed, which we had all been excited about when we got there. We all questioned whether we would go back to try the Mexican side of the menu, as there are plenty of Mexican places in the area, and we only come down occasionally to visit. I particularly did not like the fact that they kept the same name, and even the chefs were no longer the same. I'd be willing to try again if they re-brand and just serve what they specialize in themselves.

After some wine tasting in the neighborhood we had a very nice, hearty lunch with genuinely friendly service. The burgers were excellent, and they also took care of our grandson (nearly 4) with coloring utensils and Mac’n Cheese with a side of fries (!).

Nice place with an outside deck and nice atmosphere. Food is good, creative hamburgers, salads and of course beer and wine. Great place for a break while wine tasting in El Dorado or Amador counties.

I have been coming to this restaurant for the past 2 years and have enjoyed it immensely. Recently I have noticed the quality of food and hospitality has gone down hill.
All of the original staff has been pushed out or let go and that was one of the best parts.
The food is now sub par. In the past you could always expect the food to taste exactly how it was on your past visits.
NOW it's likely it will be totally different or poor taste.

It breaks my heart to write this about a restaurant i used to love so much. This used to be our favorite restaurant in the area, but with the new ownership, the quality has declined while the price has increased! Some examples: the celebration fries used to be so good, but now they have changed the fries to the cheap steak fries, and its not the same. It's not good at all. Nothing to celebrate about the celebration fries. They took salmon off the menu and replaced it with cheap tilapia. Gross! They added a bunch of Mexican food. I love Mexican food, so I was willing to give it a shot, but it was terrible. Even the Mexican rice and beans were terrible! It didn't taste like authentic Mexican food. With high price tags like that, I had higher expectations. I won't be coming back to try out the other menu items. I miss the old menu. The prior chef created masterpieces that were visually and tastefully delightful. This just feels sloppy and overpriced. I am really disappointed because there's not many restaurants in the area so I guess the new owners can get away with this. If you didn't know the quality that was here before, you will think this place is okay. But it's really gone downhill since 2022. I will no longer be regularly visiting this establishment. No complaints on the service. Our server was delightful. Our food did take much longer than before, but that doesn't bother me as much as the quality declining of the menu. Sorry, new owners, you had big shoes to fill, and just can't. Quality over quantity. Overpriced yet cheap quality Mexican food isn't the solution. It's actually an insult to the regular local customers.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not as good now, i believe its under new ownership. I miss the old menu with the 4 carnitas tacos. We recently got the new carnitas quesadilla. It was overcooked, dry, and no flavor. The carnitas recipe is not the same anymore.bummer

Amazing restaurant out in Fairplay! We are local and go very often! Food is always amazing. Especially the carnitas tacos! Thats my personal favorite! Chef makes high quality, delicious food with passion. Everything has a unique flare to it. Servers are always great too! Very clean. Peaceful location. Great brews. Highly recommend!

Well we went back 6 months later and just not as good.

Went a year ago. We got all the wing flavors they had, and every single one was the best chicken wing we've ever had. Each wing was also twice the size of a normal wing, and they were so juicy. The fries were fantastic as well. I will be coming from out of town just to eat here again

Had a great meal here, located right near some of the best wineries in the area. Service was professional and quick, recommended.
