Crème Bakery, Claremont CA

Crème is my favorite place in Claremont. A hallmark of the warm community here, they have the most delicious pastries and best vibes. If you need a pick me up, a birthday cake, or just a coffee, this is your place.

The baguettes at Creme are the best! Very authentic. The croissants are perfect, airy, flavorful, and addictive.

Love this bakery! They have a gift for crusty breads, flaky croissants, and gorgeous cakes. Worth the line every time. I also love that they close to give their employees time off two days a week, as well as holidays. Well deserved.

We got a large spread of various pastries and sandwiches for our office luncheon. The pastries were good (everyone agreed the best item was the banana cream tart) but there were many complaints about the sandwiches. The bread was incredibly tough like a hockey puck (even more so than your typical baguette texture), it hurts the roof of your mouth and strains your jaw when trying to chew through it. Several people couldn't eat them at all and had to fill up on pastries instead. The sandwiches were also pretty bland and dry, except for the Jambon Beurre and it was the most eaten.
Overall a nice shop, but we would recommend going there for coffee and a scone, not to have lunch.

You won't find a better bakery in the area! Their pastries are fantastic, bread delicious, cakes divine, fruit tarts fresh and light! I would suggest going early as certain items sell out, and the Fridays before holiday weekends are always jam packed!

Visiting from LA area. This bakery is in the top 1%. It is pure pleasure to have a fantastic bakery like this in the neighborhood. Judging by the non stop foot traffic during our visit here, I am not off the mark.

I personally think that everything I tried at this spot was okay, but nothing was spectacular. Maybe it was the fact that it had so much hype that it raised my expectations too much.

But got two tarts, a cheese croissant, cookie and a scone so really covered a bunch of items. However nothing really stood out to me. I think the fruit tart was the best of the bunch, and fruit was very fresh.

Also should mention that the staff were very kind, store was clean, things were fairly priced, and the line moved fast. I just did not find any item to really stand out to me.

Crème catered breakfast for a week-long event I ran. Everyone loved the delicious spread of pastries-these truly are the best in town, without question. (Their breads and cakes are also a delight.)

Managing the orders was a breeze. Erica was thoughtful, kind, and communicative: we switched up the orders a bit every day, and she was sure to account for the various dietary restrictions without needing reminding.

Update after shopping there for a few months: some servers are really good. But a couple don’t use gloves and touch almost anything to then touch your bread without washing their hands.

Good selection of sweets and bread done the European way. Wish they had tables! Some pastry runs on the sweet side. They service however is impossible. Long long lines, and by 11am it’s all sold out.

Apple danish here is excellent.

Apple danishes can be enjoyed as a sweet breakfast pastry or as a dessert. If you enjoy the combination of sweet and tart flavors and a flaky pastry texture, then you may find apple danishes to be delicious.

Expect delicious pastries and great service here. I took one bite of the almond croissant & went back to buy two more. The two ladies working were so nice & seemed so happy. It made the whole experience that much better.

Instantly became one of my favorite bakeries! Quality of all goods is way above par. Lovely atmosphere.

Right when you enter, you are immediately hit with the amazing fragrance of freshly baked goods. On display, each baked good looks aesthetically please, that its really hard not to choose all of them. Don't worry, they taste just as good as they look, and smell!

Staff is friendly, professional, and fast. Around 8-9 the line forms outside the cafe, so be prepared to queue up.

Not many places can pull off the cafe vibes as natural as this place. Most places try, but doesn't feel genuine like this place. Wish there was more room to hangout, enjoy the good, and soak of the vibes up the place.

Location is in the village area, so parking is available around. Although, it can get busy on weekends, or night time.

Pastries and bread.yum! We tried the sourdough, rustic French, chocolate tart, banana tart and chocolate chip cookie, everything was delicious. They were VERY busy and customer service was still great.
We will definitely be back to try the apricot danish, that was all out, and the croissants and more bread and anything else!

The staff here is so warm and friendly, and pastries are amazing. The almond croissant had a ton of almond paste inside and the cran-orange scone was moist. I’ll definitely be coming back for the ginger scone next time!

As soon as I walked in it felt like you were in a different Country staff is friendly, thoughtful, efficient, and awesome!
Clean and neat.
Even the customers were kind - as if walking in made you a better human.
The baked goods… on point! The French roll, I want more. The quiche, so good, had to share my one with the fam. Definitely gotta go back!

This place is absolutely amazing if you enjoy very good pastries, French style as I believe the owner is from there.
You have to wait in line because is a small place and is very popular with locals.
Once you get in the place is charming and you'll go crazy with all the delicious and beautiful options.
