CreoLa Bistro, San Carlos CA

Cozy place with excellent service and delicious authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine from a New Orleans chef. I’ve been many times over the past 15 years and am always happy to return.

Nice place. We were a party of 12. A lot of the side dishes were presented to us cold. Needed to go in microwave.

Outstanding fried chicken, delicious french silk pie, and excellent French 75s. And their bread pudding is the best I've had.

Such a warm and welcoming place to dine with friends or family. The interior has a very cozy feel especially during the holidays because you can find Christmas trees decorated and placed at different parts of the intimate dining area. We enjoyed our experience so much that we chatted away until we were the last ones left in the restaurant! Everything we ordered in the menu was delicious including the French 75 champagne cocktail. My personal favorite was the Shrimp Creola entree and the oyster’s appetizer *chef’s kiss*. The hosts were very kind and funny too, thank you for making our dinner a very memorable one!

Decent experience, could be better. The food was fried way too hard, example the boudin was fried hard and doused with roumalade on the bottom. My cream cheese grits had clumps in them and the cornbread was baked hard. The beignets were fried hard and tasted like powdered bread pudding and the caramel sauce was burnt. Didn’t really taste like ‘Nawlins and I know ‘Nawlins very well, this honestly wasn’t that.

This is a local favorite. The latest visit we got the short ribs, fried chicken for an 11 year old and the shrimp and crawfish etouffe. All were excellent. The vanilla lemonade is a favorite drink as well as the adult beverages. The desserts are awesome, especially the beignets.

The ambiance is always very nice. Currently, festively decorated for Christmas.

They were not taking online orders so my boyfriend and I just showed up. Thought we needed a reservation but they still got us a table. The catfish w/ collared green and green beans is a must try. The jambalaya seems like he needs salt or something. The chicken that comes with it was good and salty lol so it balanced out sort of. An the Hush puppies hands down the best Ive ever had. The beignet were good but we asked for 3 and got 6

Fantastic service, flavorful food, not pricy and great atmosphere for holiday season. I had a great time with my family! It's one of the best fusion bistros in town!

Love this place. Ambient very calm. Staff very friendly and tentative. Food very tasty, drinks are delicious and generous! Parking available. Not a crowded restaurant.

The service was great, and the appetizer and main courses were delicious. The bread pudding dessert was not as tasty as remembered from pre-pandemic times, a bit too custardy. The birthday beignet was a nice treat! We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely wonderful dinner! Having spent several vacations in New Orleans in the past we've developed a love of the cuisine. Creola is authentic and delicious. The only negative I could come up with was that it was a bit cold in the restaurant. But drinks, food and service were superb!

The service was great and I really enjoyed the non alcoholic selection of drinks. The cornbread muffins were great and I enjoyed the red beans and rice. I didn't like the beignets that much though. I wouldn't recommend those. The gumbo was pretty good.

Cousin took us to dinner here.food was very tasty.service was excellent, staff is very friendly.the atmosphere was warm and relaxed the drinks are strong and they did not rush us at all! We will be back.

Very authentic New Orleans Cajun food. Their gumbo is highly recommend. Baggnet is the great ending for the meal. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and relaxing jazz music. Great restaurant.

Everything we ordered was very good including cocktails. Service was great with friendly staff. Simple cosy ambience. Corn bread was delicious.

Really enjoyed myself here! I sat at the bar and was waited on by Aaron. Great cocktails and I started with the deep fried bacon wrapped oyters that were dynamite, then ordered the catfish with collard greens, mashed potatoes and cornbread Everything tasted fantastic, will definitely add this to my habits favorites list for San Carlos!

This place is really good. It's crayfish season right now and you can add crayfish to your shimp dishes. Make sure to save room for dessert.
