Cresthaven Apartment Homes, San Bernardino CA

This place is a joke. I'm the 2 years I've lived here I've had my car broken into twice, my garage got robbed with thousands of dollars worth of equipment stolen, then my car was stolen, and my wife's wheels were stolen. My next door neighbor has his gas tank drilled out, and other neighbor had her car stolen a couple weeks ago. The complex has done NOTHING to prevent or compensate us on this rampant crime. They refuse to let us put up cameras or ring doorbells, yet won't do anything themselves. What they HAVE done is issue a new parking permit system and only given out ONE pass regardless if you have a one, 2 or 3 bedroom. They have towed our cars 4 separate times, and are QUICK to tow you, yet can't catch any thieves. There's now 100s of cars parked out on the street outside the complex, yet the parking lot is empty most of the time. It's probably safer to park out there anyways I guess lol

We have 3 cars, 1 has been hit twice for parking outside the apartments, 2700 dollar of damage, cause even having a garage, a big truck doesn't fit. My SUV was broken into, many valuables stolen, while being parked inside.my third small car was parked outside and broken into, window smashed, valuables stolen. While there is plenty of parking inside the building they rather have you park in the street. They installed cameras, which do zero. Oh and the police dont care, so even if you have evidence they do. Nothing. If you care about your stuff, dont move here! The homeless and thieves aren't worth your hard work being taken. Get security. Oh and the jacuzzis dont work!

Seriously, LOVE living here! The maintenance guys are so amazing! They always show up fast and fix ANYHING and EVERYTHING we need! Thanks to Jose and Steve for always showing up and getting maintenance done, quickly, respectfully and with care! The office staff is amazing, extremely helpful and Wendy, Cresthaven's manager is the BEST! We have lived here, going on 6 years, in this economy, we are so grateful to have been here and continue to be here until we are able to move forward.

If i could give zero stars, i would. If you're looking to rent here, this is what you will deal with living here: the employees in the office dont care about the apartment problems or rules that have "changed" and it causes hassles for you and your neighbors. You get one parking sticker per lease. All other vehicles have to park on the street, even though there are countless spots open all the time. The city is starting to tow cars that are on the same street for over 3 days, doesn't matter if you move them, they get towed. So, bottom line, NO PARKING. There have been over 100 separate crimes to our vehicles on the streets in 3 months. Police do not come out for anything. We had fights at 2 am on a weekday where someone was run over, police never came. Police do not come for theft, burglary, property damage, assault etc. The apartments are older and have wooden frames, so there are termites, ants, and other insects that are in the walls. Stairs are falling apart. You are NOT allowed pets but yet so many people, even office staff, are walking around the apartment complex with dogs and cats. The bottom line is that you will deal with theft, badly structured apartments, and your vehicle towed or broken into. Hope this gives you something to think about.

I am sure a response from the owner will be sent for me to talk with someone about these issues. I promise you i have talked peoples ears off about all of them, and they say, "Oh well. " So i am done TRYING to talk about issues here. Just DONT live here if you're trying to move up in life.

Response to owner: This is not my impression. Unfortunately, these are facts. Almost everyone i talk to from these apartments deal with the same things. Its crime infested and mostly due to parking changes, security is never around and no cameras, which we were told security and cameras were in the progress (said about 1 year ago).

I have lived here for almost 6 years. The maintenance workers Todd and Jose are awesome. But the parking for visitors is really poor. If you have a visitor and they don't park exactly where the visitors sign is, they get towed.

I walked in the leasing office Lizeth and Daniel greeted me. Lizeth immediately took my information and gave me a tour of the one bedroom I am looking to move in mid 2023.

Called the apartments and spoke to Lizeth over the phone. She was very friendly and answered all my questions! This property is a top contender.

My experience at the apartments were so professional and organized. I called in and spoke with Lizeth, she told me I could get a tour of the apartments to see how I would feel since I’ve been searching for so long. Lizeth made my experience amazing, she was so nice, humble and had a lot of knowledge of the apartments. I will be calling back!

The best part is clean, quiet and service is awesome. The bad part truck stolen, catalytic -converters stolen twice, that was loss of about $ 10,000.00 dollars, also someone went in my patio area and stole some plants, some were real and some were fake. WE NEED MORE SECUITY, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT!

Had to have some work done on my apartment and Todd came in and took care of my dishwasher that day and got it up and running like new. Thanks todd!
