Crockett Hills Trailhead reviews
10Great hike in the Crockett area, good view of the hills and the city. There are a lot of bikers but they are usually very nice and do not get in the way.
Beautiful hike with a lot of shade the first mile, but don’t leave any valuables in your car. My window was smashed and my backpack with laptop and wallet stolen. A lady who came by said she’s seen a lot of reports of that here.
Crockett Hills Trail and Regional Park is a great place to go hiking or mountain biking. There are great views on a clear day, and after some rain there beautiful green rolling hills. I saw a coyote hunting for some food in the grass and underground holes, and the valley deeper into the park is absolutely stunning in Fall. Well worth a visit for a few hours to explore.
Crockett Hills MTB ride was very nice. Trails are well formed, flow portion is flow’y, and climbs aren’t too bad. Fun ride.
It was the end of July so the sun was very strong and wearing sunscreen was a must. There are some steep hills but in general it was easy to moderate 5.8 miles hike. The reason for giving 4 stars is the number of bikes that were sharing the trail with us which was a quite annoying.
Pretty good mountain biking trails if you're into steep climbs and off camber turns and hard pack conditions. I bet this place is great after a day or 2 after it rains.
Great open space for hiking and biking. Though certain parts of the trails can be single file at times, most people are polite about making room for bikers and groups.
Well maintained path for walking a dog. There were a number of mountain bikers which made it a little snug in certain areas. Everyone was polite, just be aware of other people
For mountain biking the trail from the parking lot to hwy 4 is the best section there. But the newer constructed trails are pretty funny too. Thank you Trail Crew!
Excellent area to hike in, there are more bikers than hikers most of the time we go, but they are usually courteous. Lots of poison oak so watch your step and don't venture off the trails. We saw a turkey today and lots of bugs, but no dangerous animals. It's the end of March and it can be a little slippery from the rain but we didn't have too much trouble with mud other than having to walk around it a few times.
