Crunch Fitness - Carmel Valley

I have been at this gym for the past year. They recently had a "grand re-opening" and made a large number of changes to the equipment and layout. I can always find available cardio equipment and the weight training options are great. There is something for everyone. But the best part of the gym is the amazing staff and trainers who are welcoming and encouraging across the board. It has a great community feel!

Been a member here for a year and a half now. Love it. The new remodel is great and the best trainer and staff there is Berkeley. What a great guy.

Solid gym that is making a ton of improvements. I love working with Lexy Johnson as my trainer. My girlfriend and I love working with her, she is so enthusiastic and pushes us every time we train. She is easily the best part about this gym!

Overpriced gym for what you get. They also make it difficult to cancel your membership so they can get every last charge out of you.

Lol they close at 7pm on Saturdays. Instead of making the hours later they made it shorter? Horrible gym and management.

Lol they changed their hours? Instead of staying open longer they made it shorter? 7pm on Saturdays lol. For the past year, half of the treadmill machines dont work. The hydro beds don’t work either. Pointless membership. Management horrible. AC has been leaking for 6 months now and still not fixed.

Although there are other Crunch gyms closer to me, I really like this one! I really like the openness of this spacious two-story gym. There's plenty of equipment and a great variety, so I don't feel like I'm ever having to wait even when it's busier.

Equally disheartening is the attitude of the staff. They have become disinterested, inattentive, and outright dismissive. It's clear that they no longer value the importance of fostering a positive and supportive gym environment. The lack of customer service is truly disappointing.

However, the most egregious aspect of my experience was the deceptive billing practices of Crunch Carmel Valley. Despite my diligent efforts to cancel my membership, I continued to be charged for months on end. It felt like they intentionally made it difficult for members to terminate their contracts, and their disregard for ethical business practices was evident.

While I eventually managed to recover the money through chargebacks, the whole situation left a bitter taste in my mouth. Crunch Carmel Valley no longer deserves the loyalty and trust of its members. I strongly urge anyone considering a gym membership to seek out alternatives where they will be treated with respect, professionalism, and fairness.

Do yourself a favor and find a gym that truly values its members. Crunch Carmel Valley is a far cry from the welcoming and reputable establishment it once was.

Not worth the price - all the equipment is super old, most of the cardio machines are broken and just there for show, and it’s like an after-school hangout for students in the afternoons/evenings.
