Crustacean Restaurant reviews
15No need to say anything further. Garlic crab and an order of garlic noodles. Everything else is taking up space. The carb and noodles are the best
I've been to this place more than once in the 90s. My friends crab was good to him but for me the shrimp was dry and the garlic noodles were a little too wet for
me. We had one drink each and bottled water. Total cost $259.
No wonder people don't go on dates. They charged us 5% $9.56 for employers mandate, and the gratuity went up from 18% to 20% $38.24 tax $20.61 they literally wrote in the 20% on the menu. I really was disappointed ️
Listen very carefully. If you like all things Crab, please eat here. I fell into a food coma after eating here.
We came for their Restaurant Week menu. It was too expensive and therefore disappointing. The appetizers were good. The main dish of a family meal sized dish of garlic noodles with Four dry butterflied shrimps on them, no sign of veggies (not even garnish) was boring. Maybe the beef was better, but we chose seafood. Of course you can't leave hungry with that giant pile of noodles though. Dessert was Applebee's quality. Mini chocolate lava cake with a scoop of ice cream. Fried bananas with ice cream. The banana dessert was mostly dough, they didn't even use plantains, just regular bananas. Very disappointing.
Service was mostly good, but we were served a plate meant for another table. It was removed fairly quickly and given to the correct table. They were lucky we realized it wasn't for us and didn't eat it. Then a waitstaff removed my partners napkin when they cleared the table, even though I said we were having dessert. They didn't bring a new one.
The cost of $65 plus SF mandate and required 20% tip was pretty outrageous considering the quality of the meal. I don't recommend them for Restaurant Week. I have given 2 stars because even though the atmosphere is good and service was fine overall, the food and price made the experience bad
Fantastic experience, classic roast grab with garlic noodles was to die for, would’ve eaten more if I could fit it! Glass of Sav Blanc complemented it well
Seafood fried rice and garlic noodles were amazing! Also had the delicious roasted crab. They will deshell the crab for an extra $10.
Crustacean doesn't owe me anything. The garlic noodles and garlic rice was amazing. I ordered the prawns wrapped in wonton and the. OMG.that crab was to die for. I'll be back
Well we were so happy to get into town and could not wait to go this this restaurant. We’ve been going to the one in Beverly Hills for years and just love the food, the service and the ambiance of this place. So when we stepped into this place it started off nice but was very underwhelming. The first thing we had was the beef skewers and well the meat did not taste very good at all. We also ordered and dish of Anne Garlic Noodles and well let’s just say this is not at all like what we get back in Los Angels. These were dry and cold. My wife order the lemon grass chicken and well the chicken was overcooked and grizzly. I had the steak dish which was good. If you been to the one in Los Angels don’t waste your time going here. Very disappointed.
Wow! Best Crab by far! Taste and presentation. Buttery Garlic sauce that paired delightfully with the tender white crab meat. Delicious! Complimented perfectly with 'The Secret Kitchen Garlic Noodles'. Also had The Soy Ginger Roasted Salmon. Most incredible Wild Salmon Ive ever devoured. Topped this gorgeous meal off with a fried banana ice cream. The salty sweet essence of this meal will have me coming back for more!
Great place for a celebration dinner, eating the crab was fun. Friendly staff and great service
My mom took us here because she's had such a good experience her last visit (about 15 years ago). It was okay, but the experience is much more relaxed than it used to be. She really enjoyed her crab, but the rest of everything was just okay for those of us who didn't have crab.
Visiting from Seattle and came here since a friend highly recommended it… SO GLAD WE DID. I love crab and the roasted crab did not disappoint. And the garlic butter noodles are the perfect compliment to the buttery af crab. A bit of a splurge for date night spent about $259 for 2) and also entailed getting down and dirty— messy bib and buttery hands. But all in all so delish and worth it if you are a crab lover. If you aren’t, probably go elsewhere lol.
We will definitely be back!
$80 now for the crab, and a mandatory %18 gratuity. That makes this dinner a year luxury, sadly. I see few people here now that the price is so high
Their 2 most famous dishes. The Garlic Noodles was nice if a touch underwhelming (its world wide fame might have something to do with that). The Garlic Roast Crab, however, was unique and quite simply out of this world! Just the best crab dish i have ever had anywhere!
Enjoyed this little gem of a restaurant! Had the Roasted crab, delicious noodles, short ribs entree and shared a pistachio cheesecake. Can't wait to go back!
