Curry & More Indian Bistro, San Diego CA

January 2023. Familiar with their location in San Marcos, but had not visited this location before now. As wonderful food and friendly staff as San Marcos. Sauces are sublimely savory. Such delicious food! Something for everyone - especially my gluten free vegetarian wife. Curry & More seems to be a guaranteed hit no matter which location. Others? I hope soon in Temecula.

This is my go-to place when I need some comfort food. The korma chicken and korma lamb is my favorite dish here.

Very nice neighborhood Indian restaurant. Efficient, friendly staff, good food. Generous portions, plenty of parking.

The worst Indian food I’ve ever had! Chicken Tika Masala was worse than the frozen meals from Target. Not sure how you mess up bread but they did. $8 for a tablespoon of ice cream! Extremely expensive and not good at all, like really bad.

Food is just ok. Very inconsistent. One time I got take out and the food was burnt. And it was like jumping through hoops to get customer service to refund that. Very odd to be in a position where you feel like you are being told to prove your food is burnt.

We had the chicken Biryani and murg makhani
Both were extremely bland and the Biryani was basically tomato rice with some boiled chicken

Eating here was delicious and delightful! Highly recommend. The environment is peaceful (beautiful artwork) and the service excellent. Highly recommend. Enjoy

I ordered Paneer Kalimirch and Malai Kofta. Both curries' preparation was too bad as they contained too much oil and were tasteless. In my opinion, now the quality of food is compromised, a bad experience!

This restaurant used to be so good but lately it’s really gone down hill and the service is so bad. All the curry’s are really watered down with little flavor. The naan is so thin and crusty. We tried to ask the waiter for new naan as it was so crusty and he basically argued with us that that's how naan is supposed to be as if we don’t know!
Also be aware that they double charge if you don’t look at your bill closely, especially when they auto include tip.

First time ordering from this restaurant (take out) and really happy with it! The owner was very nice and the food was fantastic. They use a spice rating of 1-10, and each entree comes with choice of 2 sides (aka, rice, naan, raita, dal, etc.). The paneer tikka lal mirch was something I had never had before and was very good. Similarly, the chicken green masala was excellent. Lastly, the lamb briyani was some of the best I've had. 10/10 would order from them again! Can't wait to go back for in-person dining to get the full experience.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. I've never had Indian food before. The waiter steered me in the right direction on what to order and it was really good!

Great service, value and food! Paintings on wall are beautiful and waiter said they were brought from Indian. Will be back again!

I’m a delivery driver who happened to have a pickup order at this restaurant today.

When I stepped in and asked for the order, I was told it would take 5 more minutes to prepare the order. 12 minutes later, when I asked how much more time it would take and kindly asked them to respect drivers’ time and be accurate with us because we don’t get paid for the time we wait at a restaurant, one of the employees, the one that had told me it would take 5 minutes, (I hope not the business owner) just got mad and told me to leave the restaurant if I didn’t want to deliver the order. I tried to explain that I had already been waiting for nearly 15 minutes and that time I spent waiting would just not be compensated if I didn’t pick up the order. He responded looking down on me “you are a driver.who do you think you are to question me.if you don’t want to do it, I’ll call for another one” in a patronizing and disrespectful tone. It was so humiliating but I just told him that I’d wait and pick up the order. He wouldn’t stop there and asked me to leave the restaurant before he had me kicked out. What he did was not only unprofessional but also discriminative and illegal! The only reason I left was because I was representing a company as a delivery driver and I wanted to avoid a potential debate.

All these happened while two other employees were trying to calm him down and were asking me to wait for a few more minutes but he aggressively shut them up as well.

Customer service means giving the same smile to every single person stepping inside from your door.
Customer service requires love to humankind.
You have to be a people’s person to provide service to people. Sadly, this person at this restaurant can’t do that and I thought people need to know that.

Supper Salty food. I brought home Chicken tiki and Mahi Mahi curry. I called and informed the restaurant. He did not refund and offered desert instead (which is much cheaper). I would never go again and will never recommend.
