Curry Up Now reviews
15Yummy place, but not open very late anymore. The utility of a spot in the mission is a bit limited if it closes so early.
Omg this food was amazing! We had a large party of guests and their staff was so on point and accommodating as well. I can't wait to go back for more!
This review is for delivery only. I tried the awaze tibs, zilzil tibs and baklava. Let's start off with the good, the awaze tibs were fantastic, some of the best I have had in a while. The zilzil tibs were dry and really not worth it, they were ok but nothing compared to the awaze tibs. Some of the ingera was soaked in the sauce because they pack everything together which is unfortunate. Will try more dishes from here, ask wishing they had lamb tibs options but there were none. Definitely a good Ethiopian restaurant to try but be careful what you order.
We ordered everything off the vegetarian portion of the menu for takeaway. The staff was incredibly nice and gracious. All the dishes were outstanding. Lentils, pumpkin, potato, collards and more. So flavorful and so perfectly prepared. The inside of the restaurant is very charming. I already want to go back and eat inside. You have to try this Curry Up Now
When I went here, I got the tandoori fried chicken sandwich and it was very juicy, well seasoned, and had a nice crunch to it. The pickled onions were a nice acidic touch, but I felt that it could’ve been a bit spicier. However, the fryums that the sandwich came with were a little bit disappointing, as they were a bit greasy. Overall, it was a great experience and a special fried chicken sandwich. I would recommend trying this place to anyone in the Bay Area.
Unusual reconstructed Indian food, with the tandoori chicken burrito being a juicy, spicey standout.
Good to go - eating in or street side also possible. Survived pandemic.
Great experience with both the deconstructed and the constructed samosas (haha), can't wait to re-visit because the cocktail menu looked very interesting.
I bought the Butter Chicken Burritos through Goldbelly a few times. You get 6 burritos for $100. Pretty expensive. Each time I ordered, it was hit or miss with my order. I have to throw at least 2 or 3 burritos because the chicken taste old or the chickpeas were old and mushy. But when the burrito hasquality ingredients- it actually taste really good.
Very good authentic Mumbai vada pav! The vadas are really tasty. Must try! The Kathi roll is not so good, pretty bland. The deconstructed samosa is also worth trying.
Overall, good Indian food with a twist. Fast service. Definitely worth trying!
I have visited various locations of Curry up Now & this place has never disappoints, The servers were very friendly & the food tasted great. It’s a mixture of fusion & Indian which I love the most. This location was super busy when we visited so had to wait in a long line for quite sometime. I wish they had a kiosk for self ordering.
Really good flavors for Chaat style dishes on the menu but the thalis were not that good. The palak paneer tasted really well! The service wasn't very nice and warm.
Never order food from their website / app. The delivery driver didn’t show up and no one from the restaurant is picking up my call either. Update: after 10 mins
Such a good place when you are craving curry street food. The fries are bomb! Get the hella vegan, it has so much flavor and filling. Also the burritos, so much goodness inside and complimentary flavors
Really good Indian food.
It’s a little bit more American than a 100% Indian food, but I loved it!
I found the lamb burrito to be a little less exciting than the sexy fries, but I suppose I should have expected that. The sauce/curry that went over the sexy fries was not very viscous and would likely have been quite messy in a burrito
