Custom Care Physical Therapy

I TOTALLY recommend Dr. Darlene! First and foremost, she spends 45 to 60 minutes with a patient each session and really takes the time to listen and answer questions which is not common practice in the world of PT. She has many years of experience and is well versed and educated in the anatomy and physiology of the body. She is very detailed oriented, really listens to the patient, and customizes her treatment for each patient need. She is always learning new techniques for her patients which ultimately leads to better recovery for them.

Dr. Darlene is a certified level 70 healing sorceress. Seriously, this woman performs miracles. I had a herniated disc (L5-S1), and could not talk straight for large periods of time. I have Kaiser insurance and they were not helpful at all. 6 week waiting period and all they did was prescribe me stretches. Problems persisted, they even suggested surgery. But after several weeks with Darlene- stretching me out, palpitating various joints, and performing exercises, I went from barely walking upright, to being able to play outdoor soccer with people half my age and be able to play in an ultimate frisbee national championship tourny.

***Be advised that for Miracles work, you need to see her consistently and perform your PT exercises on your own consistently as well! Key word here here is consistency.

Darlene is a gem. She is knowledgeable, experienced, professional, thorough, friendly, and caring. She has customized a physical therapy plan to be effective for me, and takes the time to be sure I use correct form with physical therapy exercises. PT exercises requires work on my part, but that’s OK because overall I have been experiencing steady improvement.

She asks for feedback to see how treatment and exercises are working, and if there are any problems associated with either, or if she sees a way to improve something then she adjusts as needed.

Darlene encourages asking questions, and takes her time with me so I never feel like a number, or that she is in a rush to get to the next person. She had been extremely helpful with addressing my physical therapy needs, so I highly recommend her.
