CVS, San Diego CA

The Scripps Ranch store never has enough employees to help the customers. Checkout line gets backed up and they don’t send up another checker to help. They need to have a bell to ring when the employee is not up front.
Also, they rarely have diet 7-up or diet Sprite. It’s annoying to have to go to Vons after I go to CVS.

What is the point of ordering online for pickup when they make you wait in the line for 20 minutes anyway? Just ridiculous. They need to catch up on customer service practices and have an area for online pickup. Also, the people who work here are so rude and bitter always. One of the worst CVS stores I've been to. Although, most CVS stores are just awful to be honest.

An employee at the self check out refused to let my friend (20) buy mucinex because “by law you have to be 21 or older”. Meanwhile by ACTUAL law you just have to be older than 18. The employee said he couldn’t get it at the risk of it being used for drug use. My friend was like obviously not feeling well, his nose was stuffy and he sounded nasally. I didn’t catch his name but we went around 10pm and he was older. Worst experience ever….

I’ve never experienced such a horrible experience at a cvs. I went to purchase mucinex and had my ID ready and the employee refused to let me purchase the product since I’m younger than 21. I turn 21 in 5 months and by California law only those under 18 are not allowed to purchase those products due to certain chemicals. He refused to give me any recommendations for other products and hardly let me purchase my other goods. Deeply offended by this experience.

How can I give zero stars?
Visited to take some passport photos and the representative made the process so painful and made me pay a lot more. She didn't know how many photos comes in a sheet and printed double the coint. I asked her few times if that sheet count is correct and she confirmed again and again. Then once she realized the mistake, she just thrashed the extras and charged me for everything. I tried to go to the manager, but he was just on another level. Went and picked up the extra photos from thrash and gave it to me. I realized these are moments that there is no point talking to them and just accept the fact that some places are to be avoided.

So just avoid going to cvs Scripps Poway for any photo needs.

Ridiculously long hold times - short staffed or just completing disregarding the ringing phones. Would not recommend calling at all.

Staff at the drop-off counter are completely incompetent and unhelpful. They directly contradicted information from CVS' own website, listened to nothing I said, and repeatedly told me to do things which I had already told them I had done. If you have to use a CVS for your prescriptions use any of the numerous ones nearby as you'll receive no help whatsoever at this location.

They *do not* provide digital passport photos even though it is listed on the website. I called up the store and they said that they have the facility and when I went there to get my photos clicked they said they cannot give me a digital copy because they don't have the proprietary cable required for transferring the photo. I called up multiple CVS in the area but none had the cable. Such a waste of time and lack of technology. Extremely disappointing.

The pharmacist picks up the phone, after you've waited FOREVER says "please hold" and forgets about you. After waiting for 10mim I will take my business elsewhere.
