CVS Pharmacy, San Diego CA

Called ahead to ask about safe medicine drop off they told me a blue box was available for that. Drove from across town because no other places could tell me where to drop off. Get there and the box is locked I asked about it and they were super rude and told me if it’s locked it’s full. I nicely asked if they knew when it gets picked up or anything and the pharmacy guy completely ignored me. Sorry if you had a bad day but the it’s not the customers fault.

I went through the drive thru and was told our prescription was at another CVS location. We drove to that location. Got there and was told the prescription was at the CVS we just left. Very frustrating. We returned and original pharmacist avoided us. I remained calm but the individual needing the prescription was obviously upset.

At this moment, I am here to pickup different prescriptions. Same problems and they don't have the full amount.

I know this CVS is high traffic but the pharmacy is struggling. I will be transferring our prescriptions elsewhere. Corporate can't even maintain the signage lighting. It's pretty pathetic IMO.

Avoid at all costs if you want to remain sane.

This CVS is terrific. The pharmacy is efficient and the pharmacists are professional and friendly as are the sales associates. I love coming to this CVS-I wish I could give everyone a raise.

I have not had a single positive experience with this pharmacy. Longest wait times on the phone and in-person. Drive-thru is often closed. The lines in the store are always long with people waiting 15 minutes before even speaking to someone. The pharmacy experience here has left me without my medications several times. Highly recommend choosing another pharmacy.

This is a true example of minus star. I made an appointment for Covid vaccine booster a week ahead and they even sent me confirmation, reminder email and text message a few hours before the appointment but when I got there on time they simply said “WE ARE CLOSED! YOU CAN COME ANYTIME TOMORROW! ”

If appointments are not necessary why do you have signs saying you should make an appointment and don’t ask questions about vaccinations!

They don’t have any respect to peoples time.

I’d Give it 0 stars if I could, pharmacists are rude, certainly not interested in actually helping people and the place felt dirty which apparently after reading other reviews is a common complaint. There is no way to do any kind of curbside/drive thru if you’re on foot or bike - for a pharmacy you would think they’d understand not wanting to go inside due to COVID. There is no way to update my insurance card and so after walking over to this further away CVS with a drive-thru and to hand them my new card I was informed that that if I was not in a car the only way to avoid going in was to get things delivered - which I couldn’t do without updating the card, which I have to do in person apparently. There are lots of pharmacy companies to choose from so do yourself a favor and get your prescriptions delivered somewhere else. I will be.

Drive-up can be a long wait. Depends on others, like you, who can't or won't get out of car to pickup or drop off RX. Turn on the radio and relax.
